About Your Role You'll join our Product Growth team to help build the mechanics that turn Heidi users into Heidi advocates. Growth at Heidi isn’t about metric hacks or dark patterns. It’s about deeply understanding why users love Heidi and protecting and strengthening that at every touchpoint. You’ll work on some of the most important problems in the business. Every improvement you ship compounds across our entire user base. You'll get reps across the full funnel — from distribution and virality to activation and monetisation — while developing the analytical rigour and product intuition that defines great PMs. What You’ll Do: • Define the approach and strategy for your pod (Distribution, Engagement, Monetisation, or First Time Experience). • Develop a clear understanding of Heidi’s future state and identify the obstacles between today and making that vision a reality. • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to ship quickly and measure rigorously. • Analyse user behaviour to uncover friction points and opportunities across the user journey. • Run experiments to improve key metrics such as signup conversion, week two retention, feature adoption, and self serve revenue. • Evangelise your work by sharing customer stories, building dashboards, and helping your team understand the impact of what you are building. What you'll need • Comfort with ambiguity. You do not follow playbooks. You form considered hypotheses through deep thinking and have the conviction to see them through. • Excellent design thinking. You know what a great product looks like and appreciate how nuance in an experience can determine success or failure. • Intellectual curiosity & an obsessive learner. You seek to understand why users behave the way they do and how products can influence behaviour. • A strong bias for action. You would rather ship something imperfect and learn than debate endlessly. • A founder mindset. You operate with high agency, think holistically about the business, and do not optimise for a single metric or persona in isolation. • Strong analytical skills with comfort using data, experimentation, and data informed decision making. • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to distil complex analysis into actionable insights. • Bonus experience in B2B SaaS, healthcare, or high growth startups. Designing and managing the operational systems and processes that enable high-quality product delivery, ensuring alignment and efficiency across teams. | Extensive experience in product operations or related roles, strong systems thinking, excellent follow-through, and ability to operate in ambiguity. | About the position Product at Heidi is building software that clinicians rely on every day — which means our product teams need to operate with clarity, speed, and extreme reliability. We’re looking for a Product Operations lead to act as a chief of staff to the product organisation: designing the systems, processes, and operating cadence that help great product teams ship consistently and at high quality. This is a hands-on, high-leverage role for a sharp generalist who loves turning strategy into execution, removing friction, and helping teams do the best work of their careers. Responsibilities • Act as a force multiplier for the Product team, owning the operational backbone that enables fast, focused, and high-quality delivery. • Design and run Heidi’s product operating rhythm — planning, roadmapping, execution tracking, reviews, and retros — keeping teams aligned as we scale. • Translate product strategy and leadership decisions into clear priorities, timelines, and follow-through, ensuring nothing critical gets dropped. • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Leadership to identify bottlenecks, resolve ambiguity, and unblock execution. • Own product-level process hygiene: roadmap accuracy, documentation quality, decision tracking, and internal filing. • Build and maintain lightweight systems and automation that reduce manual work and keep product information current and accessible. • Surface insights on delivery health, execution risks, and operational gaps to help leadership make better product decisions. Requirements • A high-output, detail-oriented generalist who thrives in fast-moving environments and takes pride in operational excellence. • Experience in Product Operations, Product Management, Program Management, or Chief of Staff–type roles within product-led teams. • Strong systems thinking. You naturally design processes that scale people and make execution predictable without adding bureaucracy. • Exceptional follow-through: you’re trusted to own processes end-to-end, keep things organised, and ensure commitments turn into shipped outcomes. • Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the judgment to decide what needs structure and what doesn’t. • Clear, concise communicator who can bring structure to complex product discussions. • Deep alignment with Heidi’s mission and a desire to build tools that meaningfully improve how clinicians work. Benefits • Flexible hybrid working environment, with 3 days in the office. • A generous personal development budget of \$500 per annum • Learn from some of the best engineers and creatives, joining a diverse team • Become an owner, with shares (equity) in the company, if Heidi wins, we all win • The rare chance to create a global impact as you immerse yourself in one of Australia’s leading healthtech startups • If you have an impact quickly, the opportunity to fast track your startup career!
Own product strategy and roadmap, collaborate cross-functionally to ship meaningful features, set goals and metrics, and nurture a strong team culture. | 3+ years PM experience (4+ for Senior, 7+ for Principal), strong design and technical skills, data fluency, excellent communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment. | Howdy, we're Heidi 👋 “The AI startup growing faster than Canva" That's what the Financial Review called us. In one year, we hit $15M ARR and became one of the fastest-growing companies in the world. Two years ago, we pivoted from broad healthcare AI to building Earth’s finest clinical exoskeleton. Today we support over 2 million patient sessions weekly across 50+ countries. Hundreds of thousands of clinicians use Heidi to complete documentation. Our mission is simple: double care capacity by eradicating non-clinically-useful busywork. We've found product-market fit with individual clinicians through our freemium medical scribe, transforming unstructured clinical visits into structured text artefacts. Clinicians and organizations quite like it. Now, we embark upon consuming more than just documentation. Every new job a clinician delegates to Heidi makes patients feel more attended to, cleans up health system logjams, and lets clinicians be clinicians again. That's where you come in. The role We’re looking for experienced Product Managers across a range of levels. PMs at Heidi require design-first thinking, detail-obsession, commercial savviness, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will own product strategy and vision, define your roadmap, and execute with a cross-functional teams. You will report into one of the following areas: Enterprise, Payments, Models Platform, Special Projects, or [Redacted - we’ll tell you later…]. This role will be based in either our San Fransisco or New York City office. We don’t care about logos; the traditional insignia of competence. We’ll evaluate senior well-credentialed candidates and young, hungry hopefuls alike. What you'll do Own product strategy and roadmap for your domain, aligning cross-functional teams around a shared vision Obsess over clinician workflows - understand not just what they say they want, but what would actually transform their day Ship meaningful features by working closely with engineering, design, data and operations to launch them Work across pods and functions - from Engineering to Sales to Customer Success to other PMs - breaking down silos to deliver value Set clear goals and metrics for the team as well as new products and features and be held accountable to achieving them Build and nurture a strong team culture centred around collaboration, execution, and delivering results If we'd worked together the last 6 weeks, you'd have: Zero-based a new strategy document identifying unique opportunities relative to market conditions, then worked with your EM to translate it into a concrete 2-quarter roadmap Spent a full day shadowing clinicians at one of our partner health systems Shipped an experiment that challenged a core assumption about clinician behaviour Written a product brief that engineering actually got excited about (rare, but it happens) Jumped into customer support tickets to understand why clinicians were struggling with a specific workflow What you'll need 3+ years PM experience (PM), 4+ years (Senior PM), or 7+ years (Principal PM) - but we care more about what you've built than years on the clock A romantic streak about software - you believe products should be beautiful, not just functional, and that great design can transform someone's day Systems thinking that spans product, technical, and people - you see bottlenecks others miss and opportunities where others see constraints The disagreeableness to say the thing that shifts the entire room's perspective (and the tact to say it well) Self-directed learning habits - you're already experimenting with the AI tools that will be mainstream next year Work ON the business, not IN it - you set vision for your domain and connect it to company strategy, not just groom backlogs Data fluency - you run your own queries, generate your own insights, and make decisions based on evidence Technical depth to meaningfully contribute to architecture discussions and push back when needed Communication skills that work equally well with engineers, executives, and clinicians Context-switching abilities - startup speed when exploring, enterprise thoroughness when shipping Track record of shipping products with measurable impact on real humans If you answer 'NO' to these questions, this may not be the job for you: Are you an execution powerhouse? Are you great at spot-the-difference puzzles? Is your product methodology suffuse with design thinking? Are you able to execute without a legion of data analysts, product marketers, and research coordinators at your beck and call? Does the prospect of re-energising our health systems make you feel fuzzy inside? Why Heidi? Our health systems hurt everybody. Systems are log-jammed, clinicians' lives degrade in quality, and patients churn through the meat-grinder. This is neither a special nor interesting insight. However, it means we're solving a real problem. Hundreds of thousands of clinicians use Heidi. Every clinician using Heidi gets hours back in their day. This is the starting point to build the product of your dreams: immense distribution, and a world of potential. You'll join a team that doesn’t celebrate fundraise milestones, imaginary valuations, and glossy PR. We live and breathe the pain of modern health systems, and won’t rest until we’ve exacted the change we’d like to see. We’re medicos, engineers, and designers who’ve felt (on every side of the equation) what non-care feels like - the moral and literal toll as a provider or receiver. The bad news is it’s not an easy job - you will tear your hair out more than once. Modern technology company concepts don’t transpose unto healthcare easily. The lows are really low. The good news is you will trust and admire everybody you work with, and rest easy knowing you’re doing THE defining work of your career. The highs are blindingly high. Heidi will take care of you. We offer additional paid days off for your birthday and wellness, corporate rates at Anytime Fitness, a $500 annual development budget, and serious equity. The trajectory is strong, and your impact will directly influence how quickly you progress. The conditions in which we work reflects deeply the kind of environment we want Heidi to be for users and employees alike. We are flexible, and prioritise our team’s mental health & overall wellbeing. The nature of the scale-up game is demanding, but can adapt to your schedule. We operate on a trust-only policy: company OKRs > individual KPIs. We all take the bins out - metaphorically and literally. If the role description has scared you off, it was meant to.
