JOB DESCRIPTION The Lead, Software QA (P4) provides hands-on technical leadership for quality assurance across web, mobile, and API platforms. This role owns test strategy and automation for complex projects, guides QA engineers, and partners with development, DevOps, and Product to deliver secure, reliable releases aligned with Green Dot's technology roadmap and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Own test strategy, planning, and execution for major features and releases; ensure comprehensive functional, integration, regression, performance, and accessibility coverage. • Conduct transaction-related testing with payment networks(MasterCard, VISA, Pulse & Fiserv.) and troubleshoot network transaction issues. • Provide managerial or technical guidance on network transaction testing to peers and subordinates. • Define and coordinate production verification and validation for network transactions on MasterCard, VISA, Pulse & Fiserv. • Manage and execute regression tests for network transaction projects with MasterCard, VISA, Pulse & Fiserv. • Identify critical testing paths for Core Platform Integrations with Payment Processors such as Issuer/Base24. • Ensure completion of network transaction regression testing tasks. • Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and integrate tests into CI/CD (Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions). • Develop API test suites (Postman, RestAssured) and data validation tests; enable shift-left testing practices. • Define quality KPIs (defect density, escape rate, test coverage, reliability) and publish dashboards; drive continuous improvement from findings. • Partner with Engineering and DevOps to optimize pipelines, environments, and test data; troubleshoot complex issues and lead root-cause analysis. • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2) and champion secure testing practices. • Review test plans/cases, code, and automation patterns; promote best practices and knowledge sharing. • Collaborate with Product on acceptance criteria; lead test readiness reviews and release sign-offs. • Contribute to tooling evaluations and pilot adoption of AI-assisted testing where appropriate. • Collaborate with internal API teams to test API integrations and perform end-to-end validations of payment systems.
