They are innovating at the forefront of digital security and need a dedicated accounting professional to ensure their financial operations keep pace with their growth. In addition to supporting the core cybersecurity business, this role will also contribute to the financial operations of their value-added reseller (VAR) subsidiary, which plays a key role in delivering complementary solutions to customers. About the Role This role combines traditional accounting support with opportunities to take on junior controller-level responsibilities. You’ll be the first in-house accounting hire, working alongside leadership and an external fractional CFO. Your contributions will directly support the company’s ability to scale while maintaining sound financial practices, while also strengthening the financial infrastructure of their VAR business unit. Key Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable. • Maintain accurate financial records and perform data entry in QuickBooks Online. • Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and support monthly/quarterly close processes. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. • Partner with leadership to streamline processes and implement best practices. • Support financial reporting and accounting operations for the company’s VAR subsidiary. • Take on controller-level tasks such as variance analysis, cash flow management, and supporting audits or investor reporting. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; exposure to controller-level tasks a plus. • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a small, collaborative team. • Interest in working in a mission-driven cybersecurity environment.
