This position can be located in any of our offices in CA or AZ.. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with the skills to assist in the delivery of highways, interchanges, local roads, roundabouts, trails / active transportation, bridges, and other enriching and vital improvements. This position will be networked through our offices across the West Region. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: • Perform Engineering Design tasks: to include roadway and transportation projects from preliminary to final design. Design tasks include geometric layouts, alignments, profiles, and typical cross-sections. • Assist: Cost Estimates, reports and technical memos • Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them. • Engineering Standards Specification: Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards. • Knowledge Management System: Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice. • Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems. • Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. • Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions. • Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
