Perform planning, scheduling, and analysis tasks for program management teams to ensure effective program execution. | Requires understanding of project management principles, systems engineering, and program scheduling tools, which are not evident in your background. | About the Role • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) data is the basis for effective Monitor & Control efforts during program execution; the objective is to provide clear information for Program Management (PM) decision making • The selected individual will work in the Program Scheduling & EVMS (PS&EV) department within the U.S. Operations Finance directorate • Will perform planning, scheduling and analysis tasks for GDLS PM teams • Should have a solid understanding and appreciation for the Systems Engineering / Product Development process flow (and the artifacts therein) Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role • As an extension of the PM team, work proactively to ensure all program structuring information is properly generated (per GDLS PM/Project Management Guidelines) for proposals and subsequent execution • Ensure Scheduling output meets or exceeds all standards and best practices (DFARS 252.234.7001/7002, ANSI/EIA 748, GDLS EVMS System Description, etc.) • Implement PS&EV best practices to develop and maintain an IMS that provides Actionable Information for all stakeholders during execution • Develop and maintain Program IMS and supporting data (i.e., Desktop Metrics) that are the basis for generating Schedule & Cost Reporting information (BEI, SPI, SV, CPI, CV, TCPI, ETC, EAC, VAC) • Perform Critical / Driving Path Analysis and Schedule Risk Assessments • Implement Baseline Change Requests (BCR) and assess impacts to the Program Measurement Baseline (PMB) • Work with the Product Team Leads / Control Account Managers (CAM) to generate proper status and forecasting data • Foster an EVMS-oriented Program execution environment, which may include informal training to users as needed • Become Subject Matter Expert (SME) for GDLS Project Scheduling software tools (i.e., Deltek Open Plan, MS Project A/R) Qualifications Sought • Bachelors of Science in Business/Management, Finance, Engineering, or another related field of study • Must have an understanding of Project Management principles (Project Management Institute (PMI) / PMBoK knowledge preferred) • Must have an understanding of the Systems Engineering / Product Development process • Should be familiar and/or understand the significance of the GDLS Standard Work Breakdown Structure (S-WBS) in Program Planning & IMS Development • Must be able to think logically and strive to implement balanced, pragmatic solutions • Must have the ability to understand, organize, prioritize, and communicate schedule and cost issues to all stakeholders • Should have strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills • Minimal travel and overtime work may be required

The Engineering Project Manager leads or oversees related performance activities and drives key engineering decisions to meet project schedule and cost goals, Additionally, the Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of process improvements and proposal activities required to capture Phase 5 of the XM30 platform. Key Job Elements and Responsibilities • Responsible for cost and schedule management of the engineering product team for various key platform phase capture, proposal, process development and execution scope areas • Provide management of the following potential proposal and capture areas: technical offering, PSPEC compliance and trade management, Soldier Vehicle Assessment (SVA) preparations, etc. • Provide cross-functional teams with leadership oversight to successfully implement required phase capture program and GDLS process improvements in the following areas: digital engineering, MOSA, APQP, configuration management, etc. • Manage the planning activities related to the IMS/IMP for execution key platform phase execution • Ensures product is developed in accordance with GDLS engineering standards to achieve program requirements • Provide direction and guidance to applicable stakeholders to deliver technical products and deliverables to support project milestones • Manage the XM30 Phase 5 engineering team to deliver on technical scope within project constraints, and ensure customer expectations will be met • Signature authority over related scope, schedule, and budget decisions • Responsible for review and approval of related products / CDRLs / Milestone review content • Individual will have control account responsibility for engineering with select projects and scope areas • Supports trade/technical decisions within the engineering team • Responsible for execution and management of design release to Engineering Release Plan (ERP) for required projects • Responsible for related subcontractor performance and coordination for engineering tasks • Coordinate with functional departments on related technical resource needs • Supports negotiations of technical requirements, scope and deliverables Required Qualifications and Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline • Minimum of 7+ years of applicable experience. • Experience in design, development and integration of military vehicles is a plus • Desire to learn and grow as a leader of engineering projects • Works well in team and individually • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime • Strong communication, interpersonal, and people skills are required • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) experience is preferred • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) knowledge is preferred • This position requires an Anthropometric Size Restrictions (ASR) evaluation for vehicle entry • Ability to report on-site at the primary work location • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced dynamic environment • Ability to travel when needed Additional Information • This position may require occasional travel. • Availability to work outside regular business hours as needed, to address critical issues. • This role may require eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a clearance).
