About the Role • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) data is the basis for effective Monitor & Control efforts during program execution; the objective is to provide clear information for Program Management (PM) decision making • The selected individual will work in the Program Scheduling & EVMS (PS&EV) department within the U.S. Operations Finance directorate • Will perform planning, scheduling and analysis tasks for GDLS PM teams • Should have a solid understanding and appreciation for the Systems Engineering / Product Development process flow (and the artifacts therein) Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role • As an extension of the PM team, work proactively to ensure all program structuring information is properly generated (per GDLS PM/Project Management Guidelines) for proposals and subsequent execution • Ensure Scheduling output meets or exceeds all standards and best practices (DFARS 252.234.7001/7002, ANSI/EIA 748, GDLS EVMS System Description, etc.) • Implement PS&EV best practices to develop and maintain an IMS that provides Actionable Information for all stakeholders during execution • Develop and maintain Program IMS and supporting data (i.e., Desktop Metrics) that are the basis for generating Schedule & Cost Reporting information (BEI, SPI, SV, CPI, CV, TCPI, ETC, EAC, VAC) • Perform Critical / Driving Path Analysis and Schedule Risk Assessments • Implement Baseline Change Requests (BCR) and assess impacts to the Program Measurement Baseline (PMB) • Work with the Product Team Leads / Control Account Managers (CAM) to generate proper status and forecasting data • Foster an EVMS-oriented Program execution environment, which may include informal training to users as needed • Become Subject Matter Expert (SME) for GDLS Project Scheduling software tools (i.e., Deltek Open Plan, MS Project A/R) Qualifications Sought • Bachelors of Science in Business/Management, Finance, Engineering, or another related field of study • Must have an understanding of Project Management principles (Project Management Institute (PMI) / PMBoK knowledge preferred) • Must have an understanding of the Systems Engineering / Product Development process • Should be familiar and/or understand the significance of the GDLS Standard Work Breakdown Structure (S-WBS) in Program Planning & IMS Development • Must be able to think logically and strive to implement balanced, pragmatic solutions • Must have the ability to understand, organize, prioritize, and communicate schedule and cost issues to all stakeholders • Should have strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills • Minimal travel and overtime work may be required
