The Manager, Locomotive Operations is responsible for the overall performance of GATX’s fleet of Net Lease locomotives, including the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans, programs and processes that ensure the achievement of Quality, Delivery and Cost (QDC) objectives. On Lease Oversight Oversight of GATX oil sample program ensuring that all customers are using the correct lubricants and that all oil samples are flagged if out of compliance. Coordinate movement of net leased locomotives that incur damage from wrecks or any major repairs. Create and oversee database which allows our net lease customers to report changes in components, use this database for predictive failure analysis. Monitor usage by net lease customers ensuring that when contract negotiations are taking place, we have usage data available for our commercial team. Serve as a liaison with new net lease customers regarding maintenance that GATX can perform on their units whether in the Gulf Coast Region or anywhere in North America.
