Manage inventory control, material flow, cycle counts, and supervise inventory staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency. | Bachelor's degree and five years of materials control experience with strong organizational and communication skills. | Job Title: Inventory Manager Manager Title: Director of Attachment Operations FLSA Status: Exempt Department: 6102-Production Management Updated: 8/12/2024 Job Summary: The Inventory Manager will oversee the storage, control, and flow of materials and according to the SIOP requirements Supervisory Responsibilities: • Manages and trains employees. • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Job Duties/Responsibilities: • Manages all aspects of inventory control and accuracy o Manages efficient and effective material flow processes o Manages an efficient and effective cycle count program o Tracks inventory accuracy trends and maintains a robust root cause/corrective action program to ensure measurable continuous improvement • Directs receiving, inventory control, and materials handling activities. • Maintains manufactured parts inventory levels to support SIOP • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system. • Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and manufactured parts • Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory. • Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent organizational and planning skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff. • Proficient with inventory reporting systems. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required. • Five years of experience in materials control field required. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
