The role: We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Materials Quality Engineering Program Manager to lead critical quality programs that strengthen and transform the raw material supply chain supporting the industry’s most advanced CMP Polishing Pads. This role sits within the Materials Solutions Division and plays a pivotal part in advancing raw material quality for nextgeneration N2 and beyond CMP applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, exceptional program leadership skills, and the ability to connect the voice of the customer, the voice of operations, and the voice of the supplier into a unified quality strategy. The Program Manager will lead highimpact quality and customer programs, aligning global Materials Quality Engineering priorities with supplier capability, operational requirements, and evolving customer expectations. This individual will accelerate quality improvement initiatives, reduce variability, strengthen supplier performance, and enhance the overall customer experience through structured, datadriven program management. This position will collaborate closely with teams in the United States and Taiwan. What you'll do: Program Leadership & Strategic Execution Develop, launch, and manage new programs that drive strategic quality initiatives for the global Materials Quality Engineering (MQE) organization. Facilitate regular crossfunctional decisionmaking and ensure transparent communication of project risks, progress, and outcomes. Deliver complete, accurate, and timely reporting of program and project status across their lifecycle. Collaborate closely with other MQE Program Managers within the Materials Solutions Division to ensure alignment and consistency of global initiatives. Quality Program Improvement – Embedding the Voice of the Customer Lead crossfunctional quality improvement programs by partnering with R&D, Analytical, Sourcing, Operations, Supplier Management, and CustomerFacing teams to drive longterm quality excellence. Identify and close gaps between customer quality expectations, internal manufacturing standards, and supplier capabilities. Develop and maintain a global rawmaterial quality improvement framework focused on reducing variability and improving longterm supplier capability. Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with critical raw materials by coordinating with global MQE teams and suppliers. Lead proactive programs targeting quality robustness, defect prevention, and systemic improvement rather than reactive issue response. Create and maintain visual dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to monitor quality metrics, supplier performance, risk trends, and project effectiveness. Customer Experience & Audit Support Develop action plans aligned with customer expectations for raw materials, especially in support of advanced CMP applications. Serve as the regional expert on quality systems and documentation to support supplier management system audits. Act as the primary liaison between CustomerFacing Teams and MQE for audits, surveys, and customer requests. Attend customer audits (virtual or onsite) to ensure a unified, aligned voice across the organization. Coordinate crossfunctional resources to drive customerdriven program activities and ensure timely response. Maintain documentation, files, and deliverables associated with audits and customer programs. Identify systemic gaps, propose solutions, and lead corrective action implementation (CARs/OFIs) to closure following audits. What we seek: B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering required. Master’s degree preferred; PhD or MBA is a plus. Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred. Formal training in Quality Management Systems is strongly preferred. Program Management certification or equivalent experience required (PMP preferred). Strong proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Visio, Project, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, ISO standards, SPC, MSA). Experience Minimum 7+years of experience in chemical or materials manufacturing or a related process environment. Demonstrated experience managing complex crossfunctional programs with internal and external stakeholders. Semiconductor or microelectronics industry experience is strongly preferred. Proven success leading customerfacing or supplierfacing programs. Key Competencies Business Acumen: Ability to interpret business drivers and convert them into actionable operational plans. Analytical Expertise: Strong command of statistical methods including SPC, Six Sigma, SQC, MSA, and metrology. Leadership: Ability to lead, influence, and motivate crossfunctional teams across multiple regions and time zones. What you'll do: Develops and maintains Statistical Process Control (SPC) for critical rawmaterial parameters, including, control limit calculations, SPC rules, trigger mechanisms, and reaction guides. Applies statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate raw materials prior to production use, reducing customer OCAPs and preventing customer linestoppages. Leads 8D problemsolving teams to conduct failure analysis, rootcause investigation, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for rawmaterialrelated defects; ensures corrective action closure within defined timelines. Generates, analyzes, and reports rawmaterial quality performance through Pareto analysis, SPC, and processcapability studies across assigned productline areas. Responds to customer inquiries and excursions by conducting detailed rawmaterial data analysis, identifying linkages to customer performance issues, preparing OCAPs, and driving timely corrective actions. Develops and reports statistical data related to qualitysystem performance, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal quality objectives.
