About the role and what you'll be doing: The Senior Systems Engineer - IAM is responsible for managing user access and identity across a diverse set of enterprise applications and platforms, including mainframe, Unix, IBM iSeries, and other distributed environments. This role ensures that access rights are granted, maintained, and revoked in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The IAM Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining all necessary certifications required to access and manage these systems. Key Responsibilities: Administer and manage user access for multiple applications ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Vet access rights prior to granting access, following established security and compliance protocols. Unlock or reset passwords for users as needed, supporting day-to-day operational requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of access management tools and technologies relevant to supported platforms. Ensure all activities meet regulatory compliance standards, including but not limited to SOX, HIPAA, and FIPS 140-2, as applicable. Maintain and renew certifications required for system access and management, ensuring continued compliance and eligibility. Collaborate with IT, security, and compliance teams to support audits and provide evidence of access controls and certifications. Participate in incident response and troubleshooting related to access management issues. Document processes, procedures, and access management activities for internal and external audits.
