Learn More About Energy Systems Job Purpose The Project Design Engineer is responsible for designing, engineering, and costing critical power construction projects. The Project Design Engineer drives supervision, accuracy, tools and processes within the Services Organization relative to the design and estimating functions of the team and seeks continuous improvement of tools, templates and software used for providing proper estimations and design documentation. The Project Design Engineer is responsible for the execution of designs for strategic, large, technically complex projects. On such projects, the Project Design Engineer clarifies project scope with clients, oversees discussions with professional engineering and architectural resources, engages special technical resources as necessary, works with equipment vendors to ensure compliance to specifications, performs system reliability calculations, engineers control and monitoring systems, guides the sales and estimating team in the costing and pricing offers, assists the sales team with the presentation of solutions to clients, and supports the Sales and Operations teams in managing internal and external client relationships. During construction, the Project Design Engineer assists the Project Managers and installation teams to meet the customer schedule and budget while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
