The Technician Production Operations is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment throughout reagent operations to a high level. This position reports to the Filling Manager and is part of the Technical Support Team located in Chaska and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: • Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment related to production. This includes, but not limited to, motors, pumps, relays, and other equipment. • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all production equipment and machinery. • Install and maintain a variety of machine tools and equipment with minimum direction. The VP Global Commercial Finance is responsible for financial forecasting and reporting for Cepheid globally and is the strategic finance partner to the SVP Global Commercial Operations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the VP Global Commercial Finance, is a key contributor to the overall success of the company and will provide financial and business leadership to the organization with responsibility for providing global strategic and operational finance leadership for the Global Commercial teams with $3.3 billion in annual sales. Reporting to this role is, VP, North America Commercial Finance (M4), VP, EMEA Commercial Finance (M4) and VP APAC Commercial Finance (M5). This position works closely with the Commercial, Global Operations leadership teams to develop and execute strategies that drive growth and profitability. The VP will be responsible for leading the global Commercial finance function, the development of the strategic and annual operating plans, financial forecasts, management reports and overseeing sales incentive Plans, commercial contracts and revenue structuring and supporting a wide range of go-to market and commercial expansion analytics. S/he will be responsible for implementing the systems, processes, and controls to drive financial discipline in decision making and driving a culture of financial accountability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial and operations finance in a manufacturing organization and an in-depth Commercial/FP&A background with a demonstrated track record of leading teams to compile and analyze information and provide deep insights that enable optimal business decision making. The VP Commercial Finance is a key member of the finance leadership team and will be expected to identify and drive financial performance improvement initiatives across the company. This position is part of the Global Commercial Finance organization and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: • Lead and oversee the global strategic and annual operating plans, quarterly and monthly forecast updates, predictive analytics, internal reporting and performance management against projections. • Drive the budgeting processes and optimize expense management within the business, driving efficiencies and ensuring that investments are suitably analyzed and operational costs appropriately controlled. • Support the month end accounting close processes and lead development and monitoring of key operational metrics to drive financial performance and lead the preparation of all financial materials for management and operational reviews as well reporting to Danaher Corporate. • Embed a culture of proactive risk management across the organization and provide regular insights on financial performance risks/opportunities and advise on business options to ensure meeting/exceeding of corporate goals. Partner with the Global Corporate Controller to ensure a culture of integrity and controllership. Will also drive timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting for both internal management purposes and corporate reporting. • Serve as the lead business/finance partner to the SVP Global Commercial Operations. Drive global revenue, OPEX and full P&L analysis, forecasting and execution with a focus on accuracy, core sales growth, and profitability. Partner with business and functional leaders and commercial and supply chain teams to execute global demand/supply planning optimization. • Provide leadership to the Commercial Finance team, constantly raising the bar of expectation and develop a world class organization, establish global best practices, develop business intelligence and financial planning tools and processes and instill a culture that emphasizes accountability, integrity and transparency. • Act as a thought leader by providing analytical insight and perspective to senior management. Proactively assess new business opportunities and their impact to the financial and business goals of the company. The essential requirements of the job include: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with 20 years relevant experience in a medium to large scale organizations, ideally with MedTech/Life Sciences organizations. • Proper balance of Controllership and Operational/Commercial Finance experience, appropriately engaging personality so that you are sought out as a solution provider and problem solver. • Demonstrated excellent business acumen, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making. • Relevant experience as a senior leader in a complex, multinational, multi-site environment. Experience working in a highly complex, matrixed organization and a manufacturing environment highly desirable, along with experience as a trusted partner to global business executives, whereby senior leaders consult you before making key, strategic decisions. • Continuous improvement mentality. Ability to challenge the norms and existing processes. • Strong leadership skills with experience in growing and leading high-performance global teams and ability to demonstrate effective leadership in ambiguous and frequently changing situations. • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and strong executive presence. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
