Manage shipping and receiving operations, maintain inventory accuracy, and support manufacturing logistics. | High school diploma, experience in shipping/receiving, familiarity with ERP systems, ability to lift 50 lbs, and forklift certification preferred. | We are looking for a dependable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support our manufacturing operations. This role ensures that raw materials, components, and finished goods move smoothly in and out of our facility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, team-player and able to coordinate logistics in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities: · Receiving: o Verify incoming shipments of raw materials, parts, and supplies against purchase orders. o Inspect deliveries for damage, quality, and accuracy before acceptance. o Record receipts in the inventory management system and deliver materials to production areas. · Shipping: o Prepare finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation. o Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. o Generate bills of lading, packing slips, and other shipping documents. · Manufacturing Support: o Maintain accurate stock levels of raw materials and components to prevent production delays. o Work closely with production supervisors to prioritize shipments and deliveries. o Assist with staging materials for assembly lines and production runs. · Inventory & Documentation: o Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits. o Track discrepancies and report shortages or overages promptly. o Keep detailed records of all shipping and receiving transactions. · Operational Duties: o Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. o Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized warehouse. o Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and material handling. o Part Marking as required. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or supply chain preferred. • Prior experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, File Maker). • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods. • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Forklift certification (preferred). Work Environment: · Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. · Fast-paced environment requiring coordination with production, purchasing, and quality teams. · Standard work hours with potential overtime during peak production cycles.
Manage client accounts by providing tariff management services including duty drawback claims, classification, and FTA certification. | Requires strong knowledge of U.S. tariff schedules, customs procedures, and Excel skills to handle classification and duty drawback processes. | More positions for our clients on our site: CareersInConnecticut.com Account Manager - Import/Export - Hybrid Work directly with accounts in providing tariff management services. These services include duty drawback, classification (using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States) and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) certification. Right candidate should be proficient in excel and able to manipulate and format data using various applications. Duty Drawback work requires obtaining the necessary documentation and/or data from our clients in order to file claims with U.S. Customs and Broder Protection. It also requires writing permission letters and rulings for submission to Customs in order to obtain the necessary privileges for our clients allowing them to file duty drawback. Classification and FTA certification work requires a solid working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States as well as a clear understanding of the various FTA rules of origin. The classification reviews will also require the submission of protests for improperly classified products. The FTA work will require classifying client’s products and determining if they qualify for lower duty rates into participating countries. 45k to 55k BASE PLUS There is also a monthly bonus of 10% - 12.5% of the salary based on the company’s performance for the month.
