This position conducts studies, gathers and analyzes data from various databases and sources, develops reports, summaries, recommendations, and visual representations, performs statistical programming and provides consultation and technical assistance. Job Description Overview The Senior Data Science Analyst reviews, analyzes, and studies the collection, retrieval, and management functions to determine efficiency and effectiveness of data control. Conducts studies, gathers and analyzes data from various databases and sources, develops reports, summaries, recommendations, and visual representations, performs statistical programming, and provides consultation and technical assistance. Essential Functions 1 Coordinates analysis of data collected from across all departments to reveal ways to improve a business entity for data driven business decisions; analyzes business procedures and makes improvement recommendations while reviewing and validating system functionality. 2 Collects compiles and analyzes data from various databases and performs statistical analysis; coordinates the evaluation of user accounts for a variety of data and database systems, develops related reports, and provides user training and support. 3 Performs research and compiles data from various databases and sources; interfaces with stakeholders across multiple functional disciplines to understand business processes, define system requirements, identify data sources, and work with a technology team to complete the development life cycle. 4 Designs and prepares standard and ad hoc reports and summaries for statistical analysis and planning purposes. 5 Develops predictive models using machine learning, natural language, and statistical analysis methods such as classification, time-series analysis, regression, statistical inference, and validation tools; performs exploratory data analyses, generates and tests working hypotheses, prepares and analyzes historical data, and identifies patterns; develops tools and dashboards to monitor and analyze performance, accuracy, and reset goals; plans and builds efficient scalable models that get automated for large scale data analyses, development, validation, and implementation 6 Analyzes client requests and provides guidance and technical assistance in obtaining accurate information from the City’s core data source; meets, engages, and collaborates with departments to discuss expectations, initiate the writing of the business requirements documents, and participates in follow up meetings; discusses options and expected outcomes based on data available. 7 Develops, coordinates, and conducts workshops and seminars on data analysis, data interpretation, and related topics. 8 Documents procedures for future reference and may make recommendations for data analysis process improvements. 9 Provides technical help with data analytics, visualization, and overall data analysis concept to personnel and department management requesting help within the data management area; answers questions and participates in technical forums that require technical expertise for designing future projects or for problem solving. 10 Performs statistical programming utilizing a variety of statistical software packages to summarize data and create reports and/or visual representations. 11 Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned. Knowledge and Skills 1 Thorough business orientation and strong analytic ability to derive and translate data designs from business concepts. 2 Knowledge of public administration and related data management. 3 Through knowledge in developing, promoting and rolling out new data functions. 4 Knowledge of the concepts of Data Science and Big Data Analytics, including a good proficiency of computer programming, database querying, statistical modeling, dashboarding, and visualization of data. 5 Knowledge and/or training in Data Analysis, Data Modeling, Dimensional Modeling and Data Warehouse concepts. 6 Knowledge of GIS and other spatial analysis tools. 7 Knowledge of data modeling tools. 8 Ability to manage projects and determine success. 9 Ability to successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment. 10 Ability to thrive when given broad objectives with minimal supervision, enjoy a fast paced “startup” like environment. 11 Ability to write technical language. 12 Communicating effectively verbally and in writing 13 Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Experience 5 years of experience performing financial or data analysis Education Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Accounting, Math, Statistics, Financial Analysis or other related field. Job Summary Job Description Overview The Onboarding Lead Partner leads the onboarding function and directly supervises Onboarding Partners and Onboarding Assistants. This role ensures all onboarding activities are compliant, efficient, and aligned with organizational priorities. The Lead is responsible for process improvement, technology review, and recommending enhancements to both onboarding processes and supporting systems. As the primary escalation point for complex onboarding matters, the Lead collaborates with HR leadership, hiring managers, and other departments to deliver a seamless and positive onboarding experience for new hires. Essential Functions 1 Supervise, mentor, and develop the onboarding team—including Onboarding Partners and Onboarding Assistants—through coaching, training, performance management, and efficient workload distribution among the team to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met 2 Assess and optimize onboarding processes, implementing best practices and continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and the new hire experience 3 Serve as the primary escalation point for complex onboarding issues, resolving challenges and ensuring adherence to policies and employment regulations 4 Collaborate with HR leadership, hiring managers, and other departments to align onboarding with organizational goals and workforce needs 5 Ensure all onboarding activities are compliant with organizational policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements: oversee and ensure the accurate and compliant processing of all pre-employment requirements and conduct audits for legal compliance and accuracy. Analyze background check results using conviction matrices and job specifications, conduct thorough risk assessments, and make final decisions that protect and support the City’s best interests. Proactively escalate complex cases and provide guidance to stakeholders as needed 6 Lead the continuous review and updating of conviction matrices to ensure legal compliance and organizational relevance, collaborating closely with the HR Partner Manager and Legal Department to drive policy improvements 7 Coordinate and support hiring events, ensuring effective execution and a positive candidate experience 8 Distribute and analyze weekly hire reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership 9 Collect and act on feedback from new hires and hiring managers to improve onboarding processes and outcomes 10 Develop and deliver onboarding-related training to team members and stakeholders, creating resources and programs as needed 11 Prepare and assemble new hire materials, oversee HRIS data entry, and ensure timely completion of all onboarding steps 12 Perform other related duties as assigned 13 Lead or participate in the selection, implementation, and integration of onboarding technology solutions (e.g., HRIS, digital onboarding platforms, e-learning tools) 14 Coordinate with IT and HRIS teams to ensure onboarding systems are optimized for efficiency, compliance, and user experience 15 Monitor the effectiveness of implemented technologies and processes, soliciting feedback from team members and new hires to make data-driven recommendations for process and technology improvements to HR leadership.
