Lead project teams to deliver IT system planning and business process improvements for state HHS agencies. | Bachelor's degree in technology-related field, PMP certification, and 4+ years in state government HHS programs. | Overview BerryDunn is seeking a Senior Consultant/Project Manager to join our State Government Practice Group, focused on serving our state Health and Human Services (HHS) agency clients. As a Senior Consultant, you will have the right mix of demonstrated project management skills and experience, exceptional organizational and self-management qualities, strong leadership and client-facing capabilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills. You will have 4+ years of experience working with and/or for state government agencies responsible for HHS programs (e.g., Supplemental Food Assistance Program [SNAP], Temporary Assistance for Needy Families [TANF], Child Support, and Child Care), and you will be comfortable working in many different environments within state government. You will oversee BerryDunn projects teams consisting of business analysts, and technical analysts and be responsible for developing deliverables for information technology (IT) systems planning and procurement (e.g., needs assessment, requirements development, request for proposal [RFP] development), systems implementation, independent verification & validation (IV&V), quality assurance (QA)/testing, and similar IT projects. IT and management consulting experience is preferred, and the right candidate will be comfortable working with clients on IT-related projects. Experience with business development (e.g., writing proposals) and staff development is a plus. You will be based in one of our physical office locations or remotely, and you will report to the HHS Practice Area Lead Principal. Travel expectations: Up to 50% travel to client sites nationwide, potential work in the US territories. You Will Lead BerryDunn projects providing services for state HHS agency clients, such as project management, IT system planning and procurement support, business process improvement/analysis, organizational and operational assessments, strategic planning, IT and data governance, workforce assessment and development, IV&V, implementation and IT solution vendor management/oversight Lead and support delivery of services to clients on time and within budget, including assigning and managing staff and overseeing development of deliverables such as IT systems assessments, needs assessments, gap analyses, requirements traceability matrices (RTMs), IT solution vendor procurement documents, federal Advance Planning Documents, IV&V reports, and QA/testing documents Develop project approaches and work plans, and coordinate task assignments across project team members accordingly Report on project status (written and verbal)—including risks and issues—to different audiences, including client executive leadership Inspire and motivate the project teams you lead, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients Facilitate meetings and interviews with client stakeholders with confidence and professionalism Maintain a strong focus on providing high quality services and deliverables, in adherence with BerryDunn's Consulting Quality Management Program Play a role in developing staff; contribute to maintaining and building a positive, fun, and innovative HHS team culture; and participate in and/or lead training and other learning and development activities You Have A Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute 4+ years of experience working with and/or for state government agencies Technology-related education, experience, and/or expertise Knowledge of state government HHS programs and services A strong customer focus Demonstrated experience leading project teams Experience in and a desire to coach and mentor junior team members An ability to balance strong attention to detail with a focus on the bigger picture Effective project management and organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm and focused during busy or challenging times Excellent written communication skills, including documenting complex issues succinctly and logically Excellent verbal and presentation skills, including articulating complex issues to a variety of audiences The ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner The ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and diverse constituencies and to work independently as well as collaboratively Microsoft (MS) Office suite skills and experience, including MS PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Excel Compensation Details The base salary range targeted for this role is $80,000 - 135,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. As part of our consulting team focused on local government clients, you will leverage your OCM expertise, along with project management and public sector knowledge to help agencies improve operations and how they leverage technologies and tools. BerryDunn is seeking an individual with experience in OCM, preferably in local government. This individual will support, and at times lead, the identification, development, and implementation of OCM activities in support of technology change and it’s supporting people and processes. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated OCM, project management and Prosci® background with experience in enterprise technology implementations. This position can be remotely-based or in one of our offices in Portland, Maine, Charleston, West Virginia, San Juan, Puerto Rico, or Phoenix, Arizona. You will report to senior leaders in the LGPG and will help clients nationally. Travel Expectations: Travel to client sites can range up to 50%. You Will Provide OCM services to LGPGclients as they transform their organization to adopt new technologies and business process change.
