About the opportunity The Americas Enterprise Sales Team ensures customers are engaged in collaborative & strategic long-term partnerships allowing them to unlock the full potential of Wind River solutions. Responsibilities & Accountabilities Account and Customer Relationship Management Annual Revenue – Accurately forecast expected revenue and achieve/exceed quota targets. C Level access – ability to access and drive meaningful engagements with C Level stakeholders, involving Wind River Executive Sponsors. Sales strategies - Develops effective and specific account plans to ensure revenue target delivery and sustainable growth. Develops relationships in new and existing (parts of) customers businesses’ and leverage them to drive strategy through the organization. Political acumen – ability to understand Customer’s power-map, internal and external influencers. Trusted advisor - Establishes strong management and C-level relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements and commitment to deliver value. Understand assigned customers technology footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and competitive landscape. Review and analyze public information (e.g. new executive appointments, earnings statements, press releases) for the company and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the prospect. Territory and Account Leadership - Lead designated territory, including accounts, account relationships, prospect profiling, and sales cycles. Accurate customer and prospects' priorities and pain points. Utilize benchmarking and ROI data to support the customer’s decision process. Demand Generation, Pipeline and Opportunity Management Pipeline growth – Follow a disciplined approach to and meet weekly funnel-add targets. Keep SFDC updated in real time. Pipeline partnerships – Leverage support organizations, including Marketing, inside sales, SDRs, and Partners, to increase pipeline into the assigned territory. Leverage Wind River Solutions – Be proficient in and bring all Wind River offers to bear on sales pursuits such as VxWorks, Wind River Linux, Simics, eLxr, and Wind River Studio. Advance and close sales opportunities - through the successful execution of the sales strategy and roadmap. Support relevant Wind River promotions and events in the territory. Qualifications Minimum of 12 years of experience in enterprise software sales, with a strong focus on Linux-based solutions. selling into Product Management and/or Engineering and/or IT organizations. Track Record: Demonstrated track record of growing sales and exceeding booking targets selling software to large enterprise Product Management and/or Engineering and/or IT organizations Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the enterprise Linux market and industry trends. Understanding of cloud and edge computing technologies and their impact on enterprises Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus. About the opportunity Wind River’s Corporate Sales team sells to all levels of decision makers within Wind River’s prospective customers that span the Enterprise Industrial, Auto, Aerospace, Government & Defense, and Telco industries. The Strategic Outbound Sales Development Representative (OB SDR) is an outbound lead generation position responsible for focused outbound efforts, closing prospects for discovery meetings that, in turn, lead to business opportunities while building new customer relationships. Reporting to the Director/Manager of Sales Development, the SDR is often the first contact for many Wind River prospects via outbound telemarketing calls, emails and social touches. The OB SDR qualifies prospects, uncovers business priorities and challenges, to develop quality meetings for Wind River’s account teams. At the front end of the process, the OB SDR is responsible for identifying accounts/prospects in their assigned territory then passing them to the appropriate account executive. As a member of the Strategy team, you will work closely with our CEO, his direct reports and senior executives in our business to define, plan, and execute the company's long-term strategic priorities. Topic areas will include: Growth - Identify and execute levers to drive sustained, profitable growth Diversification - Expand into margin accretive, fast growing end markets outside of Automotive and Commercial Vehicles Profitability - Identify and execute initiatives to maintain and enhance profitability (e.g. supply chain, vertical integration, footprint, automation, efficiency) Business foundation – Optimizing our global execution capabilities (e.g. human capital, quality & delivery, customer & regional mix, and footprint & efficiency) RESPONSIBILITIES Executing consulting-like projects, working closely with stakeholders in our businesses and corporate functions – including structuring the problem, gathering and analyzing data, generating insight, translating into written output and delivering executive-level readouts and recommendations Developing fact bases and market models around key product segments and technology trends impacting the business inclusive ADAS adoption, electric vehicle penetration, transition to software-defined vehicle architectures, transition to 48V architectures, etcetera Conducting detailed analysis of customers and competitors Shaping and driving content creation for executive leadership in key meetings (e.g. Board of Directors, Investor Meetings, GLT meetings, etcetera) Mentoring and coaching associates YOUR BACKGROUND The ideal candidate will be able to combine highly structured and analytical thinking with sound business judgment and creativity to support our management team and businesses. S/he will bring: Interest and/or domain expertise in areas relevant for our business (e.g. automotive, wire harnesses) Demonstrated skills in strategic analysis, planning, and problem solving Ability to conduct complex quantitative analyses (e.g. Excel modeling) Strong communication skills, including the ability to develop polished visuals (PowerPoint) and communicate effectively with senior audiences Great energy, tenacity, and resourcefulness in tackling challenging problems QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related; MBA from a top business school preferred Minimum of three years of top-tier consulting experience or comparable, including investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy/development or similar in technology or automotive industries. Diverse experiences in or around automotive and/or manufacturing/industrial goods Experience in leading strategy engagements and developing talent Ability to work onsite in Troy, MI WHY JOIN US?
