Key Responsibilities Participates in the design, development and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. used to drive key business decisions. Works within controls to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality of all managerial and business intelligence reports, views, dashboards, and user data. Implements new business reports within the established reporting framework, policies and procedures. Trains and supports end users on accessing of reports. Analyzes and interprets data and business intelligence reports. Works with others in the development of data warehouses and other data sources to support managerial and business intelligence reporting needs. Works with business intelligence manager and other staff to assess various reporting needs. Analyzes reporting needs and requirements, assesses current reporting in the context of strategic goals and devise plans for delivering the most appropriate reporting solutions to users. Educates & trains user community on the potential uses of the business intelligence system Extracts financial, statistical and other data from various information systems and other sources. Designs and develops recurring and ad-hoc business intelligence solutions such as reports, cubes, and dashboards, using industry best practices for presentation, efficiency, and user friendliness. Location Aligned to Managing Director / Intel account hub (flexible) Role Summary The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Managing Director is a trusted advisor and execution partner, with a primary focus on enabling successful delivery and partnership with Intel, a critical strategic customer for Applied Materials. This role ensures alignment between Applied Materials’ strategy, operational execution, and Intel’s business, technology, and manufacturing priorities. The Chief of Staff serves as a force multiplier for the Managing Director—driving disciplined execution, cross‑functional alignment, and proactive issue resolution across a highly matrixed, customer-facing organization. Coordinate product releases, develop and refine test procedures and scripts, support manufacturing engineering and new product transitions, and evaluate operational data for continuous improvement. | Basic project management skills, knowledge of capital equipment in semiconductor industry, problem-solving with standard procedures, and willingness to build deeper domain expertise. | About the position Responsibilities • Interfaces with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and/or new products. • Launches, releases, approves and implements or issues engineering change requests as required to support design engineering and Operations with new and existing products. • Estimates manufacturing costs, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements. • Develops test procedures, including assisting with the definition of test specifications with design / software engineering. • Develops and refines Mayan scripts for chamber testing. • Works with Central Test Engineering, Test Techs, and other Test Engineers on the design and development of test fixtures. • Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results; may take corrective/continuous improvement actions. • Evaluates work methods, test procedures, and workcenter policies. • Supports new product transitions as key manufacturing engineering team member. • Works with Customer Experience team to determine root cause of internal and external non-conformances. Requirements • Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in Project Management and basic knowledge of Capital Equipment for Semiconductor Industry. • Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. • Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers. • Solves a range of straightforward problems. • Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Nice-to-haves • Deeper knowledge of FEP, ALD, and EPI tools is a plus.
