POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Implementation Engineer for AMSURG IT Services, is responsible for working closely with Center Leadership and the IT Leadership Team to evaluate, plan, execute and transition IT support from the existing IT support model to the AMSURG Managed IT Services Team. This includes performing a discovery of the existing systems and workflows at the Center, creating a transition plan with communication, performing a transition of services, and documenting the environment for IT Service Delivery to take over operational support. This person will also be designing a solution for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure for the centers to transition from on-premises to the cloud. Work Schedule: This is a Remote First role. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Build relationship with Center Leadership (Operations Lead, Center Leader, IT provider) * Evaluate IT Security for the centers and provide guidance where needed * Evaluate current IT contracts and provide guidance where needed * Conduct site visits to centers to evaluate, document and plan for migration to AMSURG IT Services * Create documentation for Center configuration and systems * Understand and communicate AMSURG IT Services value and offerings * Architect, build and secure Microsoft 365 and Azure strategy to include Azure Virtual Network(s), Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Network Gateway * Monitor Azure Subscription to ensure the solution stays within budget guidelines * Work with existing IT providers to gather necessary information to transition IT support to the Service Delivery team * Evaluate current IT equipment, validate against the company standards and recommend replacements for centers as needed * Ability to understand, evaluate and document existing networks and associated dependencies to include VPN connectivity, VLANs and various vendor equipment * Ability to understand, evaluate and document existing server infrastructure and line of business applications * Regular and reliable attendance * Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Education/Experience: * Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field. They are responsible for designing, engineering and architecting complex IT systems. As a senior member of the IT Infrastructure team, they will assist with complex technical escalations, and provide training and mentoring to team members. Work Schedule: Remote-Centric Hybrid ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Critical Problem Resolution – Lead IT infrastructure support to drive fast mitigation of issues impacting critical workloads and provide timely communication in an enterprise support environment. * Strategic Project Execution – Own complex migration and integration projects, actively driving them towards resolution whilst ensuring support and engineering readiness for key milestones. * Cross Team Engagement – Advocate for technical change by leveraging employee feedback & feature requests to address user pain points and improve IT platform functionality and resiliency. * Systems Architecture – Utilize broad technical knowledge to architect and design, multi-faceted solutions to complex IT and business problems. * Technical Advisor and Liaison - Attend meetings with business leaders inside and outside of IT to “translate’ complex technical recommendations into understandable business concepts. * Align IT security tools, policies and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team * Performance and capacity planning: audit, monitor, analyze and reconfigure IT infrastructure for performance improvements and future * As a multifaceted engineer, will work alongside and provide technical assistance with network engineering, cloud engineering, datacenter management, and other technical areas. * Communicate effectively to business and technical groups within the company and at surgery centers. * Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT infrastructure, including guiding other team members on documentation processes and standards. * Participate in scheduled maintenance during non-peak (or non-business) hours when necessary * Participate in IT support escalations from other members of the IT operations team including on-call rotations * Participate in IT meetings and planning sessions and provide input and feedback around IT strategy. * Regular and reliable attendance * Other assigned duties QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. * 10+ years of demonstrated IT experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level, mission-critical applications resolving highly complex issues/situations and driving technical resolution across cross-functional organizations. * Prior experience working in and supporting an on-premises Microsoft environment, and experiencing transitioning systems, applications and workloads to cloud platforms. * Expert level knowledge of Microsoft products and services: Windows Server, SQL, Active Directory, SCCM, Office 365, Azure AD, Sharepoint, & Intune. * Expert level knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, including server hardware, virtualization (VMWare/HyperV), SAN’s, network architecture, backup administration, DR planning, and * Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD, ADFS, Okta, etc. * Experience with a broad range of security solutions including AV, MDR, SOC, Web Filtering, etc. * Healthcare IT experience preferred. * Amazon Web Services experience preferred but not required * Technical Certification(s) in Microsoft, VMWare, or other relevant areas preferred. * Strong desire for personal development and learning Education/Experience: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college with an emphasis on a technical discipline or equivalent experience with a minimum often (8) years' experience in IT systems administration function is required.
