Lead digital fundraising and advocacy campaigns to increase supporter engagement and revenue, leveraging multiple digital platforms. | Experience in digital fundraising, advocacy, and integrated campaign management, with leadership skills in a senior role. | The Development department is AIUSA’s primary driver of income generation and supports AIUSA’s mission and Amnesty International’s global human rights initiatives. The department’s goal is to ensure long-term financial sustainability by identifying new revenue streams, while also prioritizing retention, engagement, and upgrades of our existing supporter base through extraordinary donor experiences that inspire them to become life-long supporters. The Director, Digital Fundraising and Advocacy (“Director”) is a strategic leader responsible for driving online engagement, revenue growth, and mission impact through digital channels. Reporting to the National Director, Digital Engagement, this role blends creativity, data-driven strategy, and technical expertise to lead integrated digital campaigns that inspire giving, mobilize supporters, and amplify the voice of AIUSA. The Director will oversee digital fundraising initiatives, advocacy campaigns, and supporter journeys across Development, Marketing and Communications, Campaigns, and Movement Building and Member Engagement, using a blend of platforms from email and SMS to web, social media and emerging platforms.
Lead the planning, development, and implementation of creative content, branding, website, and social media strategies for Amnesty International USA. | Requires senior leadership experience in digital marketing and content creation, team management skills, and the ability to develop impactful creative strategies. | AIUSA’s Marketing and Communications team develops and executes creative and compelling communications strategies that leverage and build on the Amnesty brand, mobilize members and supporters, and add to the public discourse to protect and advance human rights. The Director, Creative and Digital Communications (“Director”) is the creative strategist who leads the planning, development, and implementation of Amnesty International USA's creative content, branding, website, and social media strategy. This is a leadership position on the AIUSA’s Marketing & Communications team and reports to the National Director of Marketing and Communications. The Director will collaborate with and supervise AIUSA’s social media, creative multimedia content, and web content staff, and oversee related work provided by freelance and external agencies to develop and implement a creative and impactful digital marketing and communications strategy. This Director will be a hands-on contributor, developing new creative content and providing support for web and social media content creation and publication. This position also works closely, and collaborates, with: • The entire Marketing and Communications team ensures external-facing communications are aligned across AIUSA’s marketing and communications channels and across the organization; • AIUSA’s digital fundraising and advocacy team, which sits with AIUSA’s Development Department. This Director will coordinate strategies, content, and calendars with that team; • Issue experts, campaigners, organizers, members, and leaders across Amnesty International USA and Amnesty's international movement.
