We’re looking for a Manager, Editorial & Production, to join our Professional Publications team and help shape the future of our books, journals, monographs, podcasts, and digital content. RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead efforts to streamline editorial and production workflows across ADA’s publishing portfolio • Support the transition from traditional print to digital-first formats • Ensure content quality and consistency, from XML files to PDFs to web pages • Track projects and report on analytics to guide strategy and improvement • Partner with authors, editors, reviewers, and vendors to keep content moving smoothly • Collaborate with marketing and social teams to promote publications and manage calendars • Handle publishing essentials: copyright registrations, ISBN assignments, invoice processing and tracking QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field • 3+ years’ experience in publishing (journals, books, and/or digital content) • Knowledge of XML and HTML and comfort troubleshooting technical files • Familiarity with style guides (Chicago preferred) and publishing tools (Word, Acrobat Pro, file management platforms) • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple projects • Clear, confident communicator who thrives in a fully remote, collaborative team environment • Familiarity with digital-first publishing formats, Adobe Creative Cloud, or Canva is a plus WHY WORK HERE The American Diabetes Association (ADA) offers a rewarding career working for one of the premier voluntary health organizations in the world supporting people with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes.
