Focuses on Electrophysiologists and Interventional Cardiologists and hospital staff to support the complete Vessel Closure portfolio including small and large bore arterial, venous, and future product releases. Meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how Vascular products can help them to achieve their goals. Develop relationships with hospital personnel; make new contacts in hospital departments; identify key decision makers. Serve as primary resource for clinical support in case coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education for company products. Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all customers abreast of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments and current items of interest in the industry. Attend clinical procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, and Operating Room to ensure customer and patient success with Vascular products. Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, product development) to develop optimal solutions. Acts as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business. Provides engineering, sales, education and clinical support in response to field inquiries on as-needed basis. Provides insight, guidance, and feedback to management on market feedback and components of next generation of products. Provides regional EP procedural case coverage. Continuously develops engineering, sales and technical skills relative to the overall Arrhythmia Management strategy, including learning opportunities via Sr. Sales personnel and management. Assists Training and Education departments with advanced educational seminars, and the preparation of educational materials. Assists Sales with advanced product demonstrations to visiting physicians and sales personnel. Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise, regulatory requirements, and a good working knowledge of company and competitor products, markets, and objectives as well as industry trends. Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence. Performs related functions and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, related field or equivalent healthcare experience required. Requires ability to become certified on EP products. Requires a minimum of 6 months in Clinical Specialist position. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience (internal or external with industry competitor). Achieves or exceeds expectations in most recent performance review. Requires an average of 15+ cases a month for 6-12 consecutive months as primary mapper. Primary mapper on complex cases for 6+ months (requires a minimum of 3 complex cases over last 6 months). Demonstrate ability to increase utilization of Abbott Advanced Mapping and Ablation Tools. Requirements: Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, DNP, MD, MS, or equivalent) with clinical or research experience in diabetes preferred. Licensure/Board Certification Clinical licensure is required for the respective role (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, or Pharmacist), in accordance with applicable state and/or national regulations. Minimum 3 years in a health sciences field. Prior MSL experience with demonstrated success in training or mentoring. Strong knowledge of diabetes therapies (CGM, and emerging sensor technologies), strong ability to critically review and communicate scientific literature. Excellent scientific communication, coaching, and presentation skills. Technology Skills: Proficiency in e-learning software, MS PowerPoint, Word, and basic Excel; AI literacy preferred. Preferred Attributes: Therapeutic Expertise: Deep understanding of diabetes management, CGM technologies, and emerging platforms such as dual glucose-ketone sensors. Training Leadership: Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering scientific training programs for field medical teams. Field Coaching Experience: Proven ability to partner in field activities, provide feedback, and mentor MSLs in real-world HCP engagements. Familiarity with Veeva CRM and field insight documentation The base pay for this position is $111,300.00 – $222,700.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
