The Opportunity As a member of the clinical support team, is responsible for providing technical clinical expertise and support of the sales process to colleagues, current customers and/or potential customers. Works under general direction with clinical and sales teammates to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by creating competency, comfort, and expertise with all Abbott Chronic Pain Therapies among physicians, support staff and customers within assigned geography. Performs work that involves a high degree of independence. Exercises independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing work. Seeks to continually improve territory efficiency. What You’ll Work On Provides technical, clinical, and programming assistance, primarily in support of 1-2 Territory Manager(s). Assist Territory Managers in after-hours call support and activities. Integrates into all accounts, builds trust and relationships, and establishes strong rapport with customers. Proficient in complex programming, case support. Works seamlessly with Territory Manager(s) allowing them increased selling time. Will foster high trust relationships with customers, including the regional team members. Will begin to conduct PCP work and educational in services, as directed. As directed by sales manager, contacts, visits, and engages clients and potential clients in the Company’s products and addresses any client questions and concerns. Provides medical professionals with sales support, information, and training on the use of Company products and with staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting. Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of assigned accounts and customers to include competitor activity. Conducts evaluations and develops sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities within accounts. Collects and studies information about new and existing products and monitors competitor sales, prices, and products. Provide feedback to providers both within operating room setting and outside operating room setting on the directions for use specific to implantable devices. May attend trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased and conferences to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments. Uses clinical expertise to identify customer training and in-service needs with the goal of increasing customer usage, comfort and understating of all Abbott Chronic Pain Therapies product line. Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Provides sales support, clinical in-services, training, and guidance to current or potential customers. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. Ability to travel 25% within assigned region and/or outside assigned region. Required Qualifications Associates Degree or technical certification; preferred Bachelor’s Degree. 1 - 2 years’ work experience, strong preference collaborating with patients in clinical setting. What You’ll Work On Under general direction, the CRM Product Support Specialist provides comprehensive engineering, sales, educational, and technical support. This role responds to field inquiries from physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and field sales staff regarding CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management) products. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Interface: Acts as a senior clinical interface between the medical community and the business. The Clinical Specialist provides clinical and sales support through education of current and potential customers, and procedure coverage with a defined region. The Opportunity The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will support Abbott Molecular sales growth by delivering a primary level of instrument field service needed to support customers, field sales, and the Technical Support Team. The FSE will consistently engage in field service activities related to Abbott Molecular instrument systems. The FSE should also be able to apply a basic level of engineering theory to understand root cause issues/problems and apply their solutions to those issues/problems. Service-related activities and findings must be well-documented into the Abbott Molecular call management database, which is part of the Abbott Molecular Quality System. Position Location: Qualified candidates must current reside in, or near, Atlanta, Georgia What You’ll Work On Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Provide system technical support for Abbott Molecular instrument systems that are located in a US or Canadian geographic territory. Provide on demand front line field service support to Abbott Molecular customers. Install and verify proper operation of instrument systems in a customer diagnostic laboratory setting. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance interventions that include calibration, hardware or software upgrades, and verify work completed. • Become a technical subject matter expert on current and new instrument products. Troubleshoot instrument system problems through telephone support, log file reading, or on-site client visitations. Maintain a repair parts inventory and provide input on parts usage related to failures. Actively participating in area or worldwide conference calls, service summits, expert meetings and workshops. The Clinical Specialist will provide clinical education and sales support in order to assist in achieving projected sales goals, increasing sales revenues within assigned product lines, and increasing market share. This position will report to the Regional Sales Director. What You’ll Work On Serves as the technical procedure and product expert in support of case coverage in the hospital setting. Focuses on Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, and Interventional Radiologists to support the full Endovascular portfolio including atherectomy, thrombectomy, base peripheral, vessel closure and future product releases. Meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how Vascular products can help them to achieve their goals. Develop relationships with hospital personnel; make new contacts in hospital departments; identify key decision. Serve as primary resource for clinical support in case coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education for company products. The FSE will consistently engage in field service activities related to Abbott Molecular instrument systems. The FSE should also be able to apply a basic level of engineering theory to understand root cause issues/problems and apply their solutions to those issues/problems. Service-related activities and findings must be well-documented into the Abbott Molecular call management database, which is part of the Abbott Molecular Quality System. Position Location: Qualified candidates must current reside in, or near, Atlanta, Georgia What You’ll Work On Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Provide system technical support for Abbott Molecular instrument systems that are located in a US or Canadian geographic territory. Provide on demand front line field service support to Abbott Molecular customers. Install and verify proper operation of instrument systems in a customer diagnostic laboratory setting. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance interventions that include calibration, hardware or software upgrades, and verify work completed. • Become a technical subject matter expert on current and new instrument products. Troubleshoot instrument system problems through telephone support, log file reading, or on-site client visitations. Maintain a repair parts inventory and provide input on parts usage related to failures. Actively participating in area or worldwide conference calls, service summits, expert meetings and workshops. Providing backup service support outside of assigned territory as needed. • Provide technical support at Abbott trade shows, sales demonstrations, and customer sites. The Clinical Specialist will primarily be responsible for case planning, case support coverage, and product pull- through throughout the designated territory, and throughout the Region as needed. The Clinical Specialist will provide clinical education and sales support in order to assist in achieving projected sales goals, increasing sales revenues within assigned product lines, and increasing market share. This position will have a heavy focus on Vessel Closure. What You’ll Work On Serves as the technical procedure and product expert in support of case coverage in the hospital setting. Meet with existing and potential customers (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how Vascular products can help them to achieve their goals. Develop relationships with hospital personnel; make new contacts in hospital departments; identify key decision makers. Assists Sales with advanced product demonstrations to visiting physicians and sales personnel. Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence. Performs related functions and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required Requires a minimum of 1 year in previous position. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience (internal or external). Prior industry/competitive experience (if external). Solely dedicated to EP support. IBHRE EP certified. Considered top performer amongst peers. Ability to perform complex cases in EP solo. Ability to mentor and train EP CS roles and CA CS roles on complex mapping cases. Ability to conduct complex customer education events solo to sell the value proposition of the full EP portfolio. The Opportunity The CES works under general direction, provides advanced clinical, sales, educational and technical support in response to complex field inquiries from physicians, health care professionals, patients, and field sales staff, involving HF products. Performs work that involves a high degree of independence. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. Exercises independent judgment in planning, organizing and performing work; monitors performance and reports status to manager. Technical proficiencies and performance are at the experienced level of all Clinical Education Specialists in the region. What You’ll Work On Acts as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business. Demonstrates ability to build and sustain credible business relationships with customers and shares product expertise accordingly. Identifies reports and advises of customer needs, product performance and potential sales opportunities to sales representatives / directors and/or management to influence sales growth and service of accounts. Provides advanced technical, sales, education and clinical support in response to the most complex field inquiries on as-needed basis. Demonstrates a thorough command of all HF products, related product and technical knowledge, trends and players. Develops, leads and/or facilitates trainings and other programs on HF products to healthcare professionals. Provides insight, guidance, and feedback to management on market feedback and components of next generation of products. Provides regional HF procedural case coverage. Leads clinic monitoring support, sharing protocols and best practices for improving workflow efficiencies Provides additional back-up support to HF Sales Representatives in the following areas: Sales Support, Reginal Training Seminars, Clinical Studies/Data Collection, Trouble Shooting, and New Product in-service training to physicians, nurses and sales representatives. Mentors and provides leadership for less experienced Clinical Education Specialists. Continuously develops clinical, sales and technical skills relative to the overall Heart Failure strategy, including learning opportunities via Sr. Sales personnel and management. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a science field OR non-science field with healthcare experience required. Requires ability to become certified on Heart Failure products. A minimum of four plus years increasingly responsible experience in cardiac or heart failure related industries. Demonstrated knowledge of cardiology, heart failure, or cardiac cath lab procedures. Familiarity with cath lab and operating room procedures and protocol. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of hemodynamics is also necessary. Must apply critical thinking skills and abilities to interpret and solve complex clinical problems. Must have comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Must have the ability to concentrate on detail and work independently. Must be able to work effectively with clinicians, technical specialists, vendors, and customers to achieve assigned goals; must be capable of coordinating multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively. Must possess comprehensive personal computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent required) in graphics, word-processing, databases, authoring programs, etc., to develop presentation materials.
