Support integrated behavioral health within primary care, coordinate workflows, and lead staff, balancing clinical and leadership duties. | Requires at least four years of clinical experience in integrated mental health, supervisory or management experience, and licensure as LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist. | Do you believe behavioral health works best when it’s part of everyday medical care, not something separate? As the Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Program Manager you’ll work side by side with primary care teams to support warm handoffs, real-time consults, and short-term behavioral health interventions. You’ll help bridge behavioral health and medical care for patients managing chronic illness, complex conditions, and life stressors that impact health outcomes. You’ll remain clinically engaged while also serving in a leadership role supporting IBH staff, coordinating care, and helping refine workflows that make integrated care effective and accessible. Your time is intentionally balanced, about 50% of it is direct patient care and 50% is leadership and coordination, so the work stays meaningful and sustainable. What this role looks like day to day: • Embedded work within a primary care clinic • About 8 patient caseload per day • Brief, focused clinical visits aligned with medical care (usually 30-45 minutes) • 90-minute intake assessments • Predictable weekday schedule with no evenings or weekends • No productivity quotas or travel expectations The IBH Manager role is a great fit for a California-licensed LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist with at least four years of post-license clinical experience in integrated or specialty mental health, along with prior supervisory or management experience. Responsibilities include Conducting intake assessments and interviews for new clients; facilitating group and individual counseling sessions and educational classes, promoting safe and responsible driving practices, and helping individuals develop the tools and support they need to maintain an alcohol- and drug-free lifestyle. Duties and responsibilities • Lead individual and/or group education and training sessions about the negative consequences of driving under influence. • Teach First and Multiple Offender classes. • Conduct intake interviews with clients, face to face interviews and conduct assessments of participants’ alcohol and other drug problems efficiently and promptly. • Complete and submit all client case notes from assessment interviews and group sessions in a timely manner. • Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and course completion. • Attend DUI staff meetings as required. • Complete other duties and related projects as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform the responsibilities outlined above. Education & Experience: • Two years or more of experience providing counseling services to people with alcohol and/or other drug problems. • Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADAC) or one or more years’ experience in providing alcohol and drug abuse prevention/treatment, with a certification or registration with certifying body. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Experience with applicable professional/technical principles and practices including substance use education, health resources, prevention, alcohol, and other drug related issues. • Verbal and written fluency in English required; Bilingual skills in a second language (particularly in Spanish) required. Zoom and DocuSign platforms experience preferred. Effective presentation skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to maintain compliance with all client confidentiality requirements • Ability and Willingness to obtain certification from California Association of DUI Treatment Program (CADPT) within 6 months of hire. Competencies: • Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural, professional and experiential backgrounds. • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Working conditions Work is conducted using a hybrid model, some remote, some work in an office environment and in person meetings with individuals needing resources and tools to live an alcohol and drug-free life. This job requires evenings and weekend work. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to hear and talk, with extended periods of speaking. The employee is required to sit or stand for long periods of time; see to utilize a computer screen; frequently use hands; and reach with hands and arms for activities such as keyboarding.
