We are searching for a Staff Software Engineer to join us in building the Red Canary platform and its supporting products. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for: Continuously shipping quality products by writing well organized, testable and scalable code Developing and launching new features and product enhancements as part of a Product team Providing technical leadership to others within the engineering organization by influencing, coaching and mentoring other engineers on the team in effective design patterns and software implementation through pairing, and code reviews Identifying critical process issues and work with engineering leadership to prioritize and mitigate them Supporting a large/complex product that operates in a 24x7 production environment, including an on call rotation Collaborating with Product Management and lead major feature design and implementation from concept to shipping Writing clear and concise documentation What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) Expert level experience with Ruby on Rails, Golang, or similar Strong subject matter expertise in public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), database technologies and container orchestration Demonstrated capability and results shipping high-quality products and features Accountability and ownership of product features from concept to launch What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Tendency to raise the bar, going the extra mile drive improvement and delight our customers Passion for automated software testing to ensure we deliver the highest quality products Confidence making architectural design decisions that improve scalability & performance #LI-DB1 #LI-Remote Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
