As a Technical Program Manager, you will work cross-functionally with engineering leaders across software, hardware, vehicle engineering, and product to drive our corporate strategy into tactical and detailed road maps that facilitate effective execution at each stage of our growth curve. You will work with engineering teams to develop project schedules, identify milestones, flag risks, estimate budgets, and clearly communicate ongoing progress. The role is focused on managing programs related to our use of cloud resources, which are the core resources the company relies on for compute, storage, and networking services. As a member of this team you will be in a critically important position at the intersection of finance and technology to influence cost savings, operational efficiency, and the scalability of our services. With plans to rapidly scale our service over the coming years, doing so in an efficient way is essential for the success of our robotaxi business. \n In this role, you will: Partner with Software Engineering, Finance, IT, and Technical Program Management to drive technical programs focused on cloud optimization and efficiency. Create project plans including prioritizing features, understanding dependencies, and estimating timelines. Highlight potential risks and proactively build out risk-mitigations. Develop metrics to attribute costs, measure efficiency, and estimate ROI. Represent your programs in cross-departmental forums, with key stakeholders, and in executive meetings. Inform on our strategy, roadmap, and KPIs to drive meaningful improvements and ensure our business is built to scale effectively. Qualifications BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience. At least 4 years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting Hands on experience with large-scale production environments on major cloud providers (e.g. AWS) Strong track record of managing complex cross-functional projects, especially with an efficiency improvement focus Deep familiarity with software development processes & proficiency in tools or processes required to manage complex projects (i.e. Gantt charts, risk matrix, JIRA, etc.) An ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience. Bonus Qualifications Experience with demand forecasting and capacity planning Familiarity with corporate financial planning including accounting, budgeting, and reporting. \n $170,000 - $245,000 a year Base Salary Range There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position. Lead user research to uncover root problems and unmet needs for internal users of autonomous vehicle tools, delivering insights to guide product and organizational decisions. | 8+ years of relevant experience with enterprise/internal users, ability to manage diverse stakeholders, and strong collaboration skills with product and engineering teams. | As the Senior UX Researcher, you will help guide design, product, and engineering teams towards the development of a suite of tools designed to support our fleet of autonomous vehicles in action. You will play a pivotal role in addressing known problems and assisting our cross-functional partners in solving the right problems, not just their symptoms. In this role you will: • Lead kick-off meetings with cross-functional teams using collaboration methods to uncover the root problem and gain alignment with stakeholders. • Select the appropriate research methods to understand the customer and company representatives to address primary and secondary needs; likely through use of diary studies, service safaris, role playing, and experience diagramming. • Conduct research that allows the team to gain clarity into how internal users work and identify unmet needs and pain points to guide the development of tools and organizational changes that will improve fleet efficiency and progress towards Zoox’s milestones and goals. • Deliver insights with appropriate narrative framing to guide immediate changes, the team’s vision, and roadmap decisions. • Present findings and recommendations to improve the experiences of users; be a staunch advocate for users in cross-functional meetings, and raise questions or challenge assumptions that are not in the best interest of our users. • Manage expectations and interests of a diverse set of stakeholders while maintaining a human-centered posture.
