What is the Role? As Account Manager , you will own the strategic relationship with decision-makers, focusing on long-term growth and retention of existing customers. Responsibilities: Strategic Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with decision-makers, including police chiefs, city managers, and county officials. Conduct quarterly and annual strategic business reviews focused on value alignment and long-term planning. Commercial Ownership: Lead renewal discussions, including pricing and contract terms. Negotiate upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive account growth and expansion into new departments or within existing. Growth Conversations: Identify expansion opportunities in collaboration with the CS Manager and BDR team. Ensure account roadmaps align with customers’ strategic initiatives. Internal Coordination: Collaborate with onboarding, CS, and BDR teams to ensure cohesive account management. Act as the internal voice of the customer, communicating needs and plans to stakeholders. Requirements 3+ years of experience in account management in the SaaS industry Experience with complex sales cycle is required. A focus on GovTech industry is preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to manage a customer portfolio with top CS methodologies Proven success in contract renewals, upselling, and cross-selling. Strong strategic planning and account mapping skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) , sales tech stack and CS tech stack (Planhat) and account management frameworks is a plus. Responsibilities: Business Development: • Use MEDDICC/MEDDPICC frameworks to qualify and manage opportunities effectively • Attend conferences, travel to meet prospects, and deliver impactful in-person presentations and product demonstrations • Build a deep understanding of prospects’ needs and present tailored solutions • Drive the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through negotiation and close • Meet and exceed sales quotas by consistently securing new business contracts • Proactively generate leads through outbound outreach and build a robust pipeline if needed Industry Expertise: • Understand the unique challenges and needs of government customers, such as city managers, police chiefs, and county officials • Stay up to date on industry trends to provide relevant insights during sales conversations Requirements • 4+ years of experience in managing complex enterprise sales processes within a tech environment • Proficiency with MEDDICC/MEDDPICC frameworks is required • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills • Willingness to travel extensively for prospect meetings and industry events • Familiarity with Sales/CRM tools like Salesforce, Outreach, Hubspot is a must • Demonstrated ability and confidence in driving proactive outbound initiatives and lead generation • Expertise in leading and navigating complex sales processes efficiently Advantages: • GovTech experience, industry experience is a plus We are accepting applications from employees working in the following states: New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, Colorado, Florida and Georgia.
