The Role Wowza Media Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team responsible for the core data infrastructure that powers our entire product ecosystem — including the systems that process product usage, manage customer account data, and report into our billing and CRM platforms. This is not a greenfield role. You'll be joining a team with a set of mature, business-critical systems and will be expected to understand them deeply, identify opportunities to modernize and reduce complexity, and execute those improvements with confidence and care. Key Responsibilities You will ensure that every byte of product usage is accurately captured, transformed, and monetized, directly impacting the company’s bottom line. You will have a seat at the table for architectural decisions as we transition our data pipelines. Work with AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, and other data lake and ETL tooling, ensuring reliable data ingestion, transformation, and availability for cross-system reporting Bring modern patterns (Hexagonal Architecture, DDD) to modern Laravel (v11+) codebase Integrate and maintain connections between internal systems and third-party platforms (billing, CRM, payment providers, etc.) Maintain and evolve customer-facing account management UIs built with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint ceremonies Collaborate with remote teammates across time zones via video conference and async communication Nice To Have Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code Experience with CPQ/billing platforms such as Zuora Experience integrating with CRM/CPQ platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc) Familiarity with Scrum/Agile or Kanban methodologies Why This Role? Define and drive the product roadmap for Wowza Streaming Engine, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure successful product delivery and adoption. | 3+ years technical product management experience in SaaS or streaming media, strong technical knowledge of video workflows and cloud services, excellent communication, and Agile experience. | We are looking for a Product Manager to join our growing team and drive the roadmap for Wowza Streaming Engine. You will own the product lifecycle from vision to launch, balancing customer needs, technical possibilities, and business outcomes. This is a highly visible role where you will collaborate with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales to define requirements, validate features, and ensure successful adoption. Responsibilities Define product vision and roadmap for Wowza Streaming Engine, and integrated AI/ML features. Gather and prioritize requirements from customers, partners, and internal teams. Author PRDs, opportunity statements, and business cases that clearly outline the “why” and “what.” Work with Engineering teams to break down requirements into epics and stories, ensuring high-quality delivery. Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop positioning, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market materials. Track competitive trends and use insights to sharpen Wowza’s differentiation. Define success metrics (ARR, adoption, retention, usage) and monitor product performance. Champion the voice of the customer and ensure security, scalability, and developer-first experience remain core to everything we build. Qualifications 3+ years of Technical Product Management experience in SaaS, streaming media, developer platforms, or adjacent industries. Strong technical understanding of video workflows (protocols like HLS, RTMP, SRT, WebRTC) and/or cloud services. Familiarity with AI/ML in media (object detection, speech-to-text, translation, QoE analytics) is a plus. Proven ability to define product vision, write clear requirements, and work cross-functionally to deliver results. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence at all levels. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with distributed teams. Experienced in Agile methodologies and project management, with the ability to run sprints, manage backlogs, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
