Our goal is to bring together business acumen with full-stack technical know-how to develop innovative solutions for our clients’ most complex challenges. Position Summary World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Domain Architect to join the Digital Workspace Virtualization practice. The role is focused initially on post-sales architecture and delivery, with a defined path into pre-sales scoping, client workshops, and statement of work development as the candidate builds client-facing experience within WWT engagements. This is a senior individual contributor seat for a technologist who is as comfortable in a client advisory conversation as they are deep in a platform configuration. The successful candidate works across enterprise virtual desktop and app delivery, modern device management, and cloud-hosted desktop solutions, often simultaneously, across named accounts in WWT’s portfolio. Over time the role expands into pre-sales activities including client-facing workshops, solution scoping, and SOW authorship as the candidate demonstrates technical depth and client engagement skills. What will you be doing? The Digital Workspace Virtualization practice within WWT’s broader Enterprise Solutions & Architecture organization is hiring a Domain Architect to lead post-sales architecture and delivery on enterprise virtual desktop, app delivery, and modern device management engagements, and to grow into a pre-sales scoping and advisory seat as client-facing experience deepens. The role exists because demand for our existing Domain Architect bench has outpaced capacity. Client engagements increasingly span Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Omnissa Horizon, and Citrix DaaS/CVAD, often in the same opportunity, and cut across modern device management (Intune, Workspace ONE, Apple Business Manager), cloud landing zones (Azure primary, AWS growing), and security overlays (Zscaler, ZPA). The Domain Architect is the technical owner who keeps these moving parts coherent across architecture, deployment, migration, and cutover. This is a senior, client-facing, high-trust seat. The successful candidate works without close supervision across multiple concurrent engagements, holds the line on design standards and repeatable patterns, and is the primary technical escalation point for platform issues, architecture gaps, and design validation questions on active work. Responsibilities Post-Sales Delivery (primary focus) • The Domain Architect leads or co-leads architecture and deployment of enterprise end-user computing solutions including Windows 365 Cloud PC, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Omnissa Horizon, and Citrix DaaS/CVAD across client environments. They own technical delivery workstreams including environment design, configuration, migration planning, pilot execution, and production cutover, with accountability for quality and client acceptance. • They serve as the primary technical escalation point for platform issues, architecture gaps, and design validation questions across active engagements, including deep troubleshooting of Horizon, Citrix, Windows 365, and related infrastructure components. • They define and enforce design standards and reference architectures across engagements, ensuring consistency in how solutions are built, configured, and handed off, and pushing repeatable patterns rather than one-off designs. • They drive execution strategy by defining deployment sequences, testing and UAT approaches, and migration flows, owning not just the technical design but how the project runs technically from start to finish. • They actively manage cross-domain delivery dependencies including networking, DNS, storage, load balancing (F5 and similar), SQL, and identity infrastructure, surfacing blockers early and holding teams accountable to resolution timelines. • They conduct site-to-site and platform-to-platform VDI migrations, including weekend cutover planning, phased rollout coordination, and rollback procedures. • They deliver MDM/UEM architecture and implementation using Microsoft Intune, Omnissa Workspace ONE, and Apple Business Manager, including zero-touch provisioning, Entra ID dynamic groups, policy frameworks, and app assignment at scale. • They architect and implement cloud landing zone integrations for VDI workloads, including Azure (primary), AWS (growing), and occasionally GCP, with a focus on networking, identity, and compute sizing. • They engage Zscaler and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) as a network perimeter layer for end-user computing environments, including transition planning from legacy solutions such as Juniper. • They develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture decision records, as-built documents, runbooks, and handoff materials appropriate for both engineering and executive audiences. • They participate in client status reviews and steering meetings, presenting delivery progress, risk, and escalation items clearly and constructively, and collaborate with WWT account teams, product specialists, and vendor partners (Microsoft, Omnissa, Citrix, Zscaler) throughout engagement delivery. Pre-sales support (initial) and scoping (expanding) • The Domain Architect supports senior architects in pre-sales activities including discovery sessions, technical assessments, and solution positioning with client stakeholders. • They contribute to statement of work development by authoring technical scope sections, effort estimates, assumptions, and out-of-scope definitions. • Over time they lead scoping workshops independently, driving alignment on solution boundaries, ownership, and milestone definitions with client technical and project leadership. • They assist in developing and refining repeatable engagement models, workshop formats, and SOW templates for WWT’s Digital Workspace Virtualization practice, and represent WWT in client-facing conversations alongside account executives and practice leads, positioning WWT’s advisory and delivery capabilities in the digital workspace and virtualization space. , Qualifications Required experience and skills • The successful candidate will bring five to eight years of experience in enterprise IT architecture or engineering, with a consistent focus on end-user computing and virtual desktop infrastructure. • They will have demonstrated hands-on experience deploying and managing at least two of the following platforms: Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Omnissa Horizon, or Citrix DaaS/CVAD. • Proven experience with Microsoft Intune, Omnissa Workspace ONE, and Apple Business Manager is required, including policy configuration, device enrollment, app management, and integration with Entra ID. • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts as they apply to VDI is required, including virtual networking, routing, identity boundaries, and compute placement in Azure and AWS environments. • Experience working within a consulting, professional services, or systems integrator context where delivery quality and client relationships are paramount is required. • Specific platform fluency is required across the following stacks: • Windows 365 Cloud PC: provisioning policies, on-premises network connections, user assignment, and licensing considerations. • Azure Virtual Desktop: host pool design, session host management, FSLogix profile configuration, scaling plans, and Azure network integration. • Omnissa Horizon: pod architecture, Enrollment Server, App Volumes, Dynamic Environment Manager, and multi-site designs. • Citrix DaaS or CVAD: delivery group design, machine catalog management, HDX optimization, and StoreFront or Workspace configuration. • Microsoft Intune and Omnissa Workspace ONE (UEM): zero-touch Autopilot/ADE enrollment, Entra ID dynamic groups, compliance policies, app catalog, device compliance, and platform-specific (iOS, macOS, Windows) configuration profiles. Apple Business Manager integration required for both platforms. • Zscaler: fundamental understanding of ZIA and ZPA as they relate to end-user computing connectivity, traffic forwarding, and split tunneling implications. • Cloud landing zones: sufficient Azure (required) and AWS (preferred) understanding to evaluate and recommend VDI-appropriate network, identity, and compute configurations. Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Bicep) is a plus but not required. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with large enterprise client environments (10,000+ seats) and the project governance, change management, and stakeholder management that comes with them is preferred. • Prior experience contributing to pre-sales activities including workshops, solution briefs, and SOW authorship is preferred. • Experience with F5 BIG-IP or similar load balancing platforms in the context of VDI gateway or portal configurations is valued. • Exposure to financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industry verticals where compliance constraints shape end-user computing architecture decisions is preferred. • Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Bicep, or PowerShell DSC to automate VDI environment builds or configuration drift remediation is valued. • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies and tooling (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) is valued. Certifications (one or more preferred) • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140), or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) • Omnissa: OCA-H/W or OCE-H/W (formerly VMware EUC certifications) • Citrix Certified Associate, Virtualization (CCA-V) or Citrix Certified Professional, Virtualization (CCP-V) • Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator, Internet Access (ZCCA-IA) • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Associate, for cloud landing zone work Core competencies • Client advisory presence: the ability to translate technical complexity into clear recommendations for both technical leads and business stakeholders. • Ownership and accountability: taking initiative in delivery, surfacing risk early, and seeing workstreams through to completion without requiring close supervision. • Collaborative delivery: effectiveness in matrixed teams involving WWT account leads, vendor partners, and client personnel across multiple time zones. • Documentation discipline: producing clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate technical and project documentation without prompting. • Adaptability: comfortable working across multiple simultaneous engagements at different lifecycle stages and shifting from deep technical work to client communication as needed. • Continuous learning: proactively tracking changes in the end-user computing vendor landscape (Microsoft, Omnissa, Citrix, Zscaler) and incorporating new capabilities into client recommendations. Education Bachelor’s degree in a technology, engineering, computer science, or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience. Travel Client site travel may be required for key delivery milestones, executive workshops, or site cutover activities. Flexibility for occasional off-hours work (evenings or weekends) is expected during migration events or production cutovers. This is a hybrid or remote role consistent with WWT delivery norms. Preferred Vertical Experience No specific vertical requirement. Experience supporting enterprise clients in financial services, healthcare, regulated industries, or other verticals where end-user computing architecture is shaped by compliance, security, and scale constraints is valued. WWT’s Enterprise AI Strategy & GTM Execution team is at the center of WWT’s AI transformation, responsible for leading the company’s go-to-market motion across the full AI solution stack — from infrastructure and platforms to consulting, advisory, and managed services. The team will serve as the primary bridge between WWT’s enterprise AI capabilities and the customers who need them most. This role operates as a focused AI co-selling resource, partnering closely with field sales teams who own the broader customer relationships to identify, develop, and win AI-specific opportunities. The AI Solutions Executive must combine deep knowledge of AI solutions, use cases, platforms, and technologies with polished consultative selling skills. This is not a hands-on technical practitioner role. The role requires an ability to be conversant and credible in expressing business value, articulating risk considerations, and translating complex AI capabilities into compelling customer narratives. Crafting and delivering high-impact pitch decks and proposals is essential. Success requires a builder's mindset: generating pipeline, earning the trust and collaboration of field account teams, cultivating strong relationships with WWT's AI partner ecosystem, and consistently converting opportunities into won business. The AI Solutions Executive is expected to carry and achieve defined quota targets, integrate into the regional operating rhythm, and help enable the field sales force to position and sell AI solutions with confidence. Responsibilities: Pipeline & Opportunity Development • Own the full AI sales cycle across an assigned territory, from discovery and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close. • Build and manage a multi-stage pipeline targeting both AI infrastructure/product deals and consulting/advisory engagements. • Lead account-level AI discovery sessions to surface customer pain points and develop tailored business cases and pitch materials. Customer-Facing Solution Positioning • Develop and deliver executive-quality presentations and proposals tailored to each customer's AI maturity level and buyer persona (CIO, CDO, CAIO, line-of-business). • Maintain fluency across the AI stack — GPU/compute infrastructure, GenAI, agentic AI, data engineering, AI security, and industry-specific use cases — and clearly articulate WWT's differentiated value including ATC capabilities and services depth. Operational Rigor & GTM Contribution • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, and consistent pipeline reporting against quota. • Contribute to cadence calls and pipeline reviews with market intelligence and competitive insights and share account-level learnings with the broader AI GTM team to improve organizational execution. , Qualifications: • Minimum 10 years of enterprise technology sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota targets. • Proven experience selling both product/infrastructure solutions and consulting/advisory services to enterprise customers. • Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline proactively—not solely manage inbound opportunities—with a hunter's mentality and a track record of creating demand in complex enterprise accounts. • Strong working knowledge of the AI landscape: ability to be conversant and credible in discussing AI solutions, platforms, tools, use cases, deployment models, value drivers, and risk considerations. This is a business-value and consultative-selling role, not a hands-on technical practitioner role. • Proven ability to create and deliver high-impact, executive-quality pitch decks and proposals that translate complex technology into clear business narratives. • Experience collaborating effectively within co-selling or specialist sales models, partnering with field account teams who are responsible for leading the primary customer relationship. • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to earn trust and credibility with both internal field teams and external partner organizations. • Disciplined pipeline management skills: CRM proficiency, accurate forecasting, and commitment to operational reporting requirements. • Bachelor's degree required.
