Conduct deep fundamental credit analysis and recommend investment decisions to improve portfolio outcomes. | Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years relevant experience in fixed income credit research, strong capital markets knowledge, and proficiency with industry tools. | This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship, meaning you will need to be able to secure and maintain work authorization without the need for a written submission by the company to the government agency, or the need for the company to make an entry as the immigration employer of record (e.g., STEM OPT training plan, I-20 Form endorsed for CPT, TN employer, etc.) Overview Identifies, recommends and defends individual investments and/or implementation vehicles to improve portfolio outcomes for clients. Conducts deep fundamental credit analysis and relative value assessment to support portfolio decision-making. Primary Responsibilities • Develop new and innovative investment ideas based on fundamental and relative value analysis. • Conduct fundamental analysis of individual companies including analyzing financial statements, credit ratings, and industry trends. • Build and maintain independent financial models and perform in-depth credit reviews for issuers under coverage. • Recommend buy, hold and sell decisions based on fundamental credit analysis and relative value evaluation. • Collaborate with client-facing colleagues to strengthen their understanding of investment solutions. • Participate in client and prospect meetings to help solidify current relationships and to develop new business. • Analyze portfolio risks, exposures and performance drivers. • Manage and allocate research work to less experienced teammates. • Prepare documentation to communicate portfolio performance, investment options, risks and pending decisions. • Conduct regular meetings and calls to discuss organizational developments, investment strategy and performance/risk. • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. • Complete other related duties as assigned. Managing client onboarding, compliance testing, waterfall calculations, and liaising with various financial parties in structured finance. | Requires 3+ years in finance or loan servicing, familiarity with CLOs and loan products, and strong analytical skills; preferred experience with specific systems and client contact. | Overview: As part of the Loan Market Solutions Division, the CLO & Loan Administration team provides trustee & custodian services to sophisticated loan asset managers. Wilmington is responsible for tracking and maintaining all daily activity including the collection of payments and investor waterfall distributions. Additionally, the team monitors and reports on various portfolio compliance requirements related to the underlying portfolio asset attributes. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Maintaining M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
