SUMMARY OF THE ROLE The Assistant Vice President of Finance is responsible to support the Vice President of Finance in management of the finance, treasury and accounting functions of the company. The AVP Finance will manage the regular financial reporting, timely tax filings, reimbursement cycle of government contracts, and accounts payable. REPORTS TO: Vice President of Finance. SUPERVISES: Director of Accounting, Manager of Financial Reporting, and through them the finance team of 30 staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinates and manages the financial reporting team to deliver accurate and timely monthly financial statements for all tax credit and other operating companies. • Responsible for the preparation of the financial reports on Westhab operations to the board quarterly. Drafts the board report, provides analysis and supporting schedules for the VP Finance review. • Primary responsibility for the preparation of the annual corporate budget. Interacts with other departments to obtain accurate and current information for the preparation of the same.
