We are seeking a Healthcare Project Manager to join our team in providing great service to our healthcare clients. Role Description We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Architectural Project Manager to join our architecture firm and lead the planning and delivery of complex healthcare environments. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional who understands the unique regulatory, technical, and operational demands of healthcare design and thrives at the intersection of clients, consultants, and design teams. The Healthcare Project Manager will oversee projects from concept through construction, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met while supporting designs that enhance patient care, staff efficiency, and long-term facility performance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Deploy resources for proper staffing, quality control, financial performance and team dynamics on your projects. • Be accountable for the design process, financial performance and risk management of your projects • Prepare project proposals and negotiate contracts and fees with clients and consultants • Manage your projects from start up through close out • Manage schedules, budgets, staffing and team/client/consultant work plan • Track financial performance of your projects (work plan, schedule, fees, change orders, billing and collections) to support design and business objectives • Ensure that defined measures of success are communicated to the team • Actively mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering and leading by example • Be responsible for advancing an integrated design culture on your projects including mentoring, resources, and developing initiatives • Provide leadership to the client and team by communicating project objectives, contract scope, terms and schedule. • Define an inclusive process for project execution • Interface and coordinate with accounting department for contracts, billing and collections • Lead projects on budget and schedule while working with the Project Designer to deliver design excellence. • Manage all aspects of project delivery, coordinating with all team members from project kick-off through construction administration including proper documentation and Project Architect/Job Captain’s review of submittals and documentation of code compliance. • Possess extensive knowledge of professional practice, including staffing, scheduling, contracts, project billing and QA/QC processes • Possess a solid understanding of industry standards, construction methods, and building technical systems • Practice excellent communication skills with an ability to present ideas in a marketing or project presentation • Maintain a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and with exceptional client satisfaction. • Collaborate with Project Architect/Job Captain to insure proper and timely preparation of construction documents and thorough Construction Administration • Assure a collaborative, integrated approach in working with other disciplines in the studio • Promote innovative design strategies throughout the project’s life cycle • Manage and communicate project financial performance to studio and office operational leaders. • Provide excellent written, oral and graphic communication skills • Create an effective and positive design team culture. FOUNDATION REQUIREMENTS 10+ years of architectural experience, including project management negotiating and managing project scope, fees and schedules, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for related commercial projects Knowledge of different project delivery models and their impact on the design/delivery process Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, or equivalent; advanced degree is a plus California Architectural License Preferred Proficient in Revit with proven work experience in an architectural environment Experience with California healthcare (HCAI/OSHPD preferred) projects CASp certification is a plus LEED accreditation is a plus Westgroup Designs (WD) is an award-winning Architecture, Planning, Interior Design, and Branding firm headquartered in Irvine, California.
