Compensation$85K - 130K a year

Lead intelligence capability by tracking competitors, market trends, and customer signals to inform strategy and executive decisions. | 6+ years in competitive or market intelligence, product marketing, or strategy in enterprise tech with strong AI/ML technical aptitude and stakeholder influence skills. | Senior Competitive & Market Intelligence Manager WEKA is the AI data and memory infrastructure company transforming how organizations build, run, and scale AI. NeuralMesh™ combines high-performance data storage and extended GPU memory in a single software platform, providing a foundation for training, inference, and agentic AI workloads that maximizes GPU productivity, accelerates AI outcomes, and improves the economics of AI at scale. WEKA is a pre-IPO, growth-stage company backed by world-class venture capital investors and AI infrastructure leaders. Our technology is trusted by 30% of the Fortune 50, as well as leading hyperscalers, neoclouds, AI builders, and research organizations. Our team is customer-obsessed, accountable, bold, and collaborative, with a shared focus on helping customers succeed. If we sound like your kind of people, join us! About The Role We are seeking a Senior Competitive & Market Intelligence Manager to build and lead the intelligence capability that helps us understand where the market is going, how competitors are evolving, where WEKA has the right to win, and what we need to do about it. This is a technical, hands-on builder role. You will design and scale the systems, tools, operating rhythms, and feedback loops that turn fragmented competitive, customer, field, and market signals into a trusted intelligence engine for the company. You'll go deep on competitors and market dynamics, develop clear points of view, and translate what you learn into positioning, competitive deal strategies, field tools, technical briefs, training decks, product insights, and recommendations that help WEKA stay ahead in a fast-moving AI infrastructure market. Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, you'll work closely with Product, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Alliances, GTM Operations, and executive leadership. You'll serve as a trusted source of intelligence across the company, helping teams understand not simply what is changing, but what it means for WEKA and what we should do next. Who We’re Looking For You're a senior builder. You've created or materially scaled a competitive or market intelligence capability before, and you understand everything required to make it work: sources, tools, processes, field feedback loops, operating cadence, executive communication, enablement, and measurement. You're comfortable starting with a blank page, deciding what matters, and building a system people actually trust and use. You're intellectually curious, analytical, and technical enough to go well beyond competitor websites and marketing claims. You can dig into products, architectures, benchmarks, customer experiences, business models, and go-to-market strategies, separate signal from noise, and develop a defensible point of view about where competitors are strong, where they're vulnerable, and where the market is headed. You also know intelligence only matters if it changes decisions and outcomes. You can turn deep research into a concise executive recommendation, a sharp competitive position, or a field tool a seller can use in a live deal. You stay close to Sales, Product, customers, and the market, and measure success by better decisions and stronger competitive performance, not the volume of research produced. What You’ll Be Working On Build the Intelligence Engine: Design and scale WEKA's competitive and market intelligence program, including sources, tooling, workflows, taxonomy, operating cadence, governance, distribution, and feedback loops. Create a trusted system of record that stays current as the market evolves. Own Competitive Intelligence: Develop deep intelligence on priority competitors across products, architecture, performance, positioning, customers, partnerships, business models, and go-to-market strategy. Identify strengths, vulnerabilities, strategic moves, and likely next steps. Monitor Competitive Pricing & Packaging: Track competitor pricing, packaging, licensing, consumption models, and commercial changes, and surface meaningful shifts to Product and other stakeholders to inform pricing and packaging decisions. Drive Market Intelligence: Track the forces reshaping AI infrastructure, including technology shifts, market structure, customer requirements, emerging categories and competitors, cloud and neocloud dynamics, ecosystem moves, business models, and buying patterns. Translate those signals into implications and opportunities for WEKA. Turn Intelligence Into Strategy: Synthesize competitive, market, customer, and field signals into clear points of view and actionable recommendations that inform company positioning, product strategy, go-to-market priorities, category strategy, and where WEKA should invest, defend, or differentiate. Create Competitive Positioning & Tools: Develop and continuously improve competitive positioning, battlecards, playbooks, objection handling, comparison frameworks, executive briefs, and other tools that help Sales, Solutions Engineering, partners, and Marketing differentiate WEKA and win. Build the Field Intelligence Loop: Establish scalable ways to capture what sellers, SEs, partners, prospects, and customers are seeing in the market. Partner with Sales and GTM Operations to turn competitive deal data, field feedback, and win/loss insights into intelligence that improves positioning, enablement, and strategy. Support Competitive Deals: Engage directly with Sales and Solutions Engineering on strategic competitive opportunities, helping teams understand the competitor, sharpen the strategy, respond to claims, and apply what is learned back into the broader intelligence program. Deliver Executive Intelligence: Establish a consistent cadence of concise, decision-oriented competitive and market briefings for Product, GTM, and executive leadership, surfacing meaningful changes, emerging threats and opportunities, and recommended actions. Apply AI & Automation: Use AI, automation, and modern intelligence tools to continuously monitor market signals, accelerate research and synthesis, and deliver intelligence in the workflows where teams need it. Apply strong judgment to ensure automation increases signal rather than noise. Influence Product & Marketing: Partner closely with Product and Product Marketing to bring competitive and market insights into roadmap discussions, positioning and messaging, launches, category strategy, campaigns, and thought leadership. Leverage Analyst & Industry Insights: Work with Analyst Relations and other external intelligence sources to incorporate analyst research, industry perspectives, market data, and third-party validation into WEKA's view of the market and competitive landscape. Measure Impact: Establish practical measures of success including intelligence adoption, field engagement, competitive win/loss trends, effectiveness of competitive plays, and demonstrated influence on product, positioning, and GTM decisions. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, product marketing, product strategy, management consulting, industry research, or a closely related role in enterprise technology. Demonstrated experience personally building or materially scaling a competitive or market intelligence program, including the systems, tools, processes, operating cadence, and feedback loops required to make it sustainable. We are looking for someone who has built the muscle, not simply participated in an established program. Strong experience conducting competitive research and analysis and translating complex findings into clear positioning, recommendations, enablement, and executive-level insights. Strong technical aptitude and the ability to independently understand enterprise infrastructure architectures, product capabilities, performance claims, integrations, and technical differentiation. Working knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, accelerated computing, cloud computing, data platforms, storage and memory technologies, or adjacent enterprise infrastructure technologies. Experience building field intelligence and win/loss programs, working directly with Sales, Solutions Engineering, customers, and GTM Operations to understand real-world competitive dynamics. Strong primary and secondary research skills with the ability to synthesize product research, customer and field feedback, analyst research, market data, public information, and other signals into a clear point of view. Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to move from deep analysis to concise battlecards, executive briefings, presentations, and strategic recommendations. Experience using AI, automation, and competitive or market intelligence tools to improve the speed, scale, and quality of intelligence programs. Proven ability to influence Product, Sales, Marketing, and executive stakeholders without direct authority and turn intelligence into action. Strong business judgment and an outcome-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize the competitors, market questions, and intelligence work most likely to influence customers, strategy, pipeline, and revenue. Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with significant autonomy and evolving priorities. Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience. Located in North America with the ability to travel up to 25%. How We Work: The WEKA Way We are Accountable: We take full ownership, always, even when things don't go as planned. We lead with integrity, show up with responsibility and ownership, and hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards.
