Build inbound growth engine via SEO and AI search optimization, and execute earned media and PR strategies to boost brand authority. | 7-10+ years in growth and content marketing with hands-on media relations and technical SEO/GEO fluency. | Job Description Our client, a technical services marketplace, is rebuilding its marketing function from the ground up. This role owns the core of that rebuild: turning strong existing SEO/AI-search visibility into a deliberate, continuously optimized inbound engine, and layering earned media/PR on top to extend reach and authority. This is a builder role; the person who sets the strategy is expected to also execute it. Contract Details: Start Date - As soon at 8/10/26 Rate: $75-85/hr Contract: 3 months to start, with strong likelihood to extend to 6 months and beyond. The goal is to find someone long term and possibly even convert them to full time. The founder is personally driving outbound in the near term; prior experience here is a plus for future scope expansion, not a gating requirement. Qualifications What Makes Someone a Fit 7-10+ years in growth/content marketing, with direct ownership of an SEO/GEO program, not just execution within someone else's strategy Has built an inbound engine from the ground up before — ideally at an early-stage or lean team where they defined the strategy, not just optimized an existing one. Experience at a startup or scale-up is a major plus True self-starter — this person will work directly with the CEO with minimal oversight and needs to be comfortable defining their own roadmap, not waiting for direction Working technical fluency in SEOGEO — can speak to site architecture, structured content, and how AI answer engines source and cite information, not just traditional keyword/backlink SEO Real hands-on media relations experience — has personally pitched press and secured earned coverage (not just "managed a PR agency" or written press releases that someone else pitched). This is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have. Exceptional writer — writing samples should be part of the interview/portfolio review B2B knowledge – Experience marketing to both SMB and enterprise accounts Nice to Have: Strong B2B marketplace experience — understands two-sided marketplace dynamics Technical aptitude or knowledge - our client is in the tech space and having experience here to understand different terminology, how engineering functions operate, etc. would be a huge plus Bonus: outbound AI SDR experience (ICP definition, list building, sequencing) for future scope expansion Additional Information We Are Rosie provides strategic consulting and talent solutions for the marketing industry.
