In this hybrid role, you will report to an Engineering Manager You will: Own the technical implementation of 3D visualization systems (EgoView) on onboard infotainment platforms, delivering fluid, high-performance visual experiences. Lead the design and implementation of the 3D rendering pipeline for the 3D Car View on the Android-based in-car system using C++ and Kotlin via JNI. Waymo's Procurement and Vendor Enablement Office (PVEO) is the engine behind our rapid physical expansion. We are a diverse, collaborative group with a mission to efficiently procure the critical infrastructure required to scale the Waymo Driver. In this remote role, the Construction & Facilities Procurement team supports the business by leading strategic sourcing and category management for our global real estate portfolio, including depots, charging infrastructure, and corporate offices. In addition, this role will be Partnering with Global Places & Services (GPS) to drive cost savings, mitigate construction risk, and ensure operational excellence. You will: Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 4 Regional Construction & Facilities Category Managers (West, East, EU, Facilities), setting the standard for category excellence and operational rigor. Global Strategy Ownership: Architect and execute multi-year category strategies for Construction (GCs, Architects, Engineering) and Facilities Management across Waymo’s expanding global footprint, harmonizing regional nuances into a cohesive global playbook. Infrastructure & Equipment: Lead the procurement strategy for critical long-lead infrastructure, including EV charging hardware, switchgears, and specialized depot equipment to meet aggressive deployment schedules. Strategic Sourcing: Oversee end-to-end complex RFx processes for high-value capital projects ($50M+ spend), including "make vs. buy" analysis, supplier selection, and consolidation efforts to maximize buying power. Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary procurement business partner to the Global Places & Services (GPS) leadership team, embedding procurement early in the site selection and build-out lifecycle to influence scope and cost. Contracting & Risk: Negotiate and draft robust Master Construction Agreements (MCAs), SOWs, and equipment purchase agreements that minimize risk (safety, financial, timeline) and enforce supplier accountability. You have: 10+ years of strategic procurement experience, with at least 7+ years dedicated to Construction, Facilities, or Capital Expenditure (CapEx) categories. People Management: Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or managing a team of procurement professionals, with a track record of elevating team performance. Deep expertise in construction contracting models (Design-Build, GMP, Stipulated Sum) and experience negotiating with General Contractors and A&E firms. Demonstrated experience managing procurement for critical infrastructure equipment (Electrical, HVAC, EV Charging) with complex supply chains and long lead times. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders (Directors/VPs) in Engineering and Real Estate without direct authority. High negotiation acumen with a track record of delivering significant hard dollar savings and cost avoidance in a high-inflation sector. We prefer: Experience scaling physical operations internationally Background in hyper-growth Tech, EV (Electric Vehicle), or specialized logistics/retail industries with heavy physical footprints.
