Designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions using middleware and cloud technologies, providing technical leadership, and driving cost-effective architecture improvements. | Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years in solution or architecture roles, experience with middleware tools like webMethods, Workato, SnapLogic, Mulesoft, Tibco, Java Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and experience with EDI formats and secure transactions. | ## Key Role Overview This role architects, designs, develops and supports enterprise integration solutions for business applications using a variety of middleware and cloud technologies. The Lead Integration Solution Engineer Architect provides technical leadership, creates low- and high-level designs, participates in architecture reviews, and drives initiatives to improve availability, reliability and reduce licensing costs while enabling automation and supportability. ## Key Responsibilities - Architect, design, develop and support integration solutions leveraging middleware and integration tools such as web. Methods, Workato, Snap. Logic, Mulesoft, Tibco, Java Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Azure Data Factory and Databricks. - Prepare flow charts, data diagrams, low-level design (LLD) and high-level design (HLD) documents to help development teams visualize processes. - Participate in Architecture Review Board discussions and provide recommendations to ensure availability, reliability, recoverability and stability. - Assess project landscape and provide roadmaps to replace obsolete or high-cost licensed tools with efficient, lower-cost COTS products without degrading performance. - Provide technical leadership, mentorship and cross-training to peers and development teams. - Define ongoing support processes, create interface runbooks, steady-state checklists and lead knowledge transition calls to ensure smooth handover to application support teams. - Establish and implement development standards and guidelines for the team. - Develop automation utilities to assist application maintenance teams with day-to-day production support activities. - Manage resource, capacity and fintech planning to operate within allocated budgets. - Pursue and apply AI and cloud service learning to projects and continuously learn new technologies to improve business outcomes. ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, and five (5) years of experience as a Solution Engineer Architect, Technology Architect, or related role. - Hands-on experience with interface development using middleware tools such as web. Methods, Workato or Snap. Logic. - Experience working with TPAs and custom deliveries between trading partners using EDI formats (e.g., 810, 824, 997), EDIFACT, ANSI X12 and flat files. - Experience connecting databases and MQ using web. Methods JDBC and MQ adapters. - API development experience using existing middleware technologies. - Experience performing data and application transformations using flat files, XML, EDI and JSON. - Thorough understanding and application of certificates and secure transaction setups (SFTP, HTTPS, JWT). ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience with additional middleware or integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Tibco, Apache Camel, and integration frameworks in Java (Spring Boot). - Familiarity with cloud data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks. - Prior participation in architecture review boards and experience driving tool consolidation or licensing cost reduction. - Proven ability to design automation utilities for production support and strong mentoring/leadership experience. - Ongoing training or practical application of AI technologies in integration solutions. ## Compensation & Benefits - Annual base salary: $152,131. - Voya offers incentive opportunities (annual cash incentives, sales incentives and/or long-term incentives) depending on role. - Health, dental, vision and life insurance plans. - 401(k) savings plan with company match up to 6%. - Voya Retirement Plan — employer paid cash balance retirement plan (4%). - Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year. - Paid time off including 20 days PTO, nine company holidays and a flexible Diversity Celebration Day. - Paid volunteer time — 40 hours per calendar year. ## Additional Information - Work arrangement: 100% telecommuting; will consider applicants resident in the U.S. - Voya is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. - Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, education and skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. - Salaries for part-time roles would be prorated if applicable.
