Collaborates daily with the HR Technology, Analytics and operational teams (HR, Payroll, IT) to understand reporting requirements for integrations, configuration, holistic system needs and data requests. Leads the continuous movement of transforming human capital data into meaningful and actionable stories which support leadership towards proven data-driven decision insights. Independently facilitates discussions to understand customer business needs, researches and proposes viable technical solutions and provides consultative guidance. Ensures high quality reports and dashboards by overseeing product design, architecture, testing, data validity and deployment. Develops and mentors a team of skilled technical professionals, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of innovation. Oversees vendor release management specifications, including evaluating new reporting capabilities, engaging stakeholders, prototyping solutions, testing, training users and leading successful implementations. Job Responsibilities Report/Dashboard Maintenance: Oversees a voluminous report and data repository with a focus on streamlining report library with additional prompts and filters, incorporating implemented operational business changes timely and evaluating current value add to organization. Coordinates monthly review of scheduled reports to ensure recipient list is current, information is utilized and delivery criteria supports organizational needs. Validates all modifications and audits full suite of custom reports for consistent tagging, descriptions and formatting. Manages adherence to reporting guidelines to maintain report uniformity and expands standard operating procedures accordingly. Actively participates and identifies report modifications required for year-end transition and manages deliverables. Report/Dashboard Design, Architecture, Testing: Leads the design and development of HR reports and dashboards with a focus on self-serve and application across system. Supports the translation of business needs to technical specifications for report development. Monitors report development and checks in with team regularly to ensure positive direction and movement. Reviews, validates, and signs off on all newly created reports. Proactively engages team to investigate and resolve report validity shortfalls. Report/Dashboard Optimization: Consistently researches new reporting technology and partners with HR Leadership in evaluating value add and return on investment. Collaborate with other industry reporting professionals to explore new reporting advancements. Represents Virtua in community forums and networking events to gather best practices and upcoming product intel. Confidently knowledge shares research, experience and partners in the development of a strategic reporting technology business plan. Report/Dashboard Deployment: Adheres to change management processes and ensures submissions are timely and follow guidelines. In partnership with HR Leadership, recommends where reports and dashboards will be located and app connectivity to support seamless self-serve capabilities. Identifies need for report/dashboard help text and guidelines. Outlines the creation and implementation of report reference materials (articles and announcements). Coordinates operational training, conducts workshops and demonstrations as needed to promote user adoption, increasing customer comfort while navigating reports/dashboards and interpreting results. Report/Dashboard Customer Success: Monitors case management and ensures the successful and timely fulfillment of report requests. Supports reporting team during triaging request by proposing insightful and clarifying questions and synthesizing report specifications based on customer discussions. Upon delivering finished product, proactively connects with customers to measure satisfaction and gathers feedback for future process improvement in reporting. Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: 8+ years of progressive technical system experience with a focus on advanced reporting, data transformation and optimization. Workday expertise required, including report product offerings such as: Prism, Discovery Boards, People Analytics, etc. Advanced level experience required with Excel, Workday business processes and reporting including BIRT, advanced, matrix, composite reports and calculated fields. Willingness to be immersed in healthcare operations to successfully synthesize industry practices with available technology. Proven track record meeting target dates within time, quality and cost while managing parallel deliverables. Consistently exhibits patient, flexible and comprehensive leadership to team of professionals. Partners with HR Budget and Analytics Team to define quantitative and qualitative measurement of project success. • Prepares a WBS (work break-down structure) to map out a hierarchy of the overall project scope into smaller more manageable deliverables in partnership with the stakeholders. Facilitates conversations around resources needed within each of the sub-projects to ensure targets are met on time and within budget. • Develops RACI, responsibilities matrix and ensures information is cascaded to all team members. • Facilitates vendor selection process including identification of critical success factors, requests for information (RFI), coordinates vendor demonstrations and conducts stakeholder surveying to select the best fit for Virtua Health. • Coordinates the receipt, review and approval of SOW, contract, ITQ and change orders. Seeks clarification from vendor to resolve follow-up inquiries presented by project team. • Positively guides customers toward optimal design solutions with a focus on proven industry best practices to meet organizational objectives. • Works with project key stakeholders on the timely mitigation and closure of risks, issues, and decisions using RAID log. • Meticulously documents all phases of the project lifecycle to capture and secure all project artifacts using various software. • Coordinates with HR Budget Analyst to track invoices, purchase orders, payments, consultant time and travel. Makes recommendations on resolving fiscal variances, to ensure projects remain on budget. • Conducts reflection session at the conclusion of each project to collect feedback on project's success and opportunities for improvement. Exhibits flexibility and strives to modify approach and tools based on findings. Relationship Management • Develops and fosters collaborative and respectful relationships with all customers and project stakeholders internal and external to HR. • Critically analyzes and translates customer business requests to define project requirements, scope, plan, budget, and timeline. • Openly shares knowledge of Project Methodology and standards to team members. Clearly explains the process, key milestones and next steps. • Communicates foreseeable roadblocks and challenges to HR Leadership and impact to project status. Proposes creative solutions to ensure project stays on track. • Contributes to the ongoing development and improvement of Virtua Project Methodology, tools, and standards.
