As a Lead Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Virta’s user experience across both clinician and patient-facing products, with a primary focus on the internal software that enables our care teams to support thousands of members. You’ll join a newly formed squad alongside highly talented product managers and engineers, designing clinician-facing systems and workflows that improve clarity, efficiency, and progress for our care teams. This role requires strong ownership, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to bring structure to complex, ambiguous spaces. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to define user-centered solutions that scale and ensure our clinicians have the tools they need to deliver exceptional care. You’ll also contribute to AI-powered experiences, integrating new technologies thoughtfully to enhance both clinician and member journeys. Your primary impact will come from delivering high-quality, well-structured designs that make everyday workflows easier and more intuitive. Responsibilities Take ownership of the end-to-end design process, from research and concept development to execution and iteration. Drive clarity by distilling complex problems into simple, intuitive, and effective design solutions. Conduct user research to deeply understand the needs and behaviors of our Lead end-to-end design for our service products, and internal software used daily by our clinicians and care teams. Develop user-centric designs that balance business goals, technical constraints, and best practices. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and our care teams to define priorities and refine designs based on feedback and data. Facilitate co-creation workshops, ideation sessions and design sprints, leading strategic discussions to align stakeholders. Test and iterate designs rapidly, using qualitative and quantitative insights to refine solutions. This person will own the execution and optimization of our digital, email, and ABM programs. As an SRE on the Infrastructure team at Virta, you will be building the foundation that will help our company move as fast as possible while meeting security and compliance requirements. Key projects for the team over the next two quarters include: Implement an AI‑driven observability and metrics platform that automatically detects anomalies and highlights SLO risks, enabling product teams to make data‑driven decisions. Enhancing system observability, reliability, and efficiency using off-the-shelf technology combined with internal tools developed in Python and Go to increase transparency and visibility into our systems as well as centralizing data. Building out more products for our Product Development teams like observability (SLOs, alerting, dashboards) modules to allow them to spin up an MVP out of the box. Improving incident readiness with better tooling and the right hygiene practices such as game days. Engage with feature development teams in toil reduction exercises, capacity planning, load testing, SLO process, and other best practices — partnering with product teams to replace manual capacity planning with predictive/AI-driven scaling models and to codify self-healing runbooks that minimize toil Improving the velocity and quality of our developer platform and tooling General AI fluency desired: comfortable with concepts like prompt engineering, operational chatbots, and AI-assisted workflows to accelerate incident response and reliability improvements We are in the midst of re-defining our incident response tooling/strategy, improving test tooling, and developing a strategy to ensure all applications are performant and available.
