What You’ll Do: * Serve as the single focal point accountability for all services and activities and the quality of personnel and deliverables. * Responsible for briefing a wide range of individuals on services, activities, and deliverables. * Assure all personnel have the necessary qualifications (technical, engineering, maintenance) including training, security clearance, badging, and access privileges. * Manage and de-conflict multiple ongoing baseline support and technical tasks. * Lead monthly Program Monthly Review (PMR) presentations to the Customer. * Be responsible for managing and controlling overall contractor program to be the contract lead for interfacing with industry, vendors, and other stakeholders on applicable systems installed, administrate, and maintained under the Customer. * Identify system dependencies of Customer and non-Customer systems. Document concerns and findings and present to the Customer. * Communicate to the Customer emerging trends and technologies in the security industry * Serve as the focal point for all delivery orders issued under the ESS contract. * Provide Period of Performance (POP), schedule, and deliverable management as outlined in individual delivery orders. Identify reasonable schedules as part of proposal development. * Provide detailed, justified labor mixes and subcontractor costs on all delivery order proposals. * Maintain a master schedule of all installation/maintenance delivery orders with associated POP. The schedule shall identify interdependencies between installations task orders and baseline ESS support, inventory and preventive maintenance work. The schedule shall be delivered monthly as a deliverable at the PMR. Provide advanced notice of project impacts, dependencies, and critical path in writing to the COR and project officer. * Respond to request for proposal in accordance with applicable contract requirements. * Provide detailed breakdown of subcontractor costs. * Identify cost savings and value engineering opportunities as part of proposal development. * Serve as lead on all established individual project meetings and distribute meeting minutes. * Provide an Installation/Site Status Report. The Installation Status Report shall provide a comprehensive status of all active and completed task orders including POP, location, cost analysis (base + options/changes/requests for equitable adjustment), project health tracking schedule/cost performance, issues needing attention, and pending actions on behalf of the Customer or contractor. * Be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance and support of Customer electronic and physical security systems. * Develop and maintain the Preventative Maintenance Plan based on manufacturer recommendations. Identify systems requiring a higher level of preventative maintenance due to usage or ambient conditions. * Oversee the execution and quality of all preventative maintenance activities. * Oversee the completion of all repair activities in accordance with contract requirements. * Track and report on preventative maintenance and repair at monthly PMR as requested. * Predict and identify systems or system components reaching end-of-life, end-of-service, or requiring lifecycle replacement and notify the government in writing. * Identify recurring causes of system or component failure and propose options to remedy. * Be responsible for the quality and integrity of the Customer identified configuration management tool. * Ensure an adequate stock of frequently used equipment and consumables to minimize down times. Who You Are: The Sr. Director, Market Sector Lead – Integrated Security Solutions will serve as the senior growth leader responsible for shaping and expanding Versar’s federal and enterprise integrated security systems solutions and portfolio. This role combines capture leadership, customer intimacy, and industry expertise to position Versar as a trusted partner for high-value government electronic security system programs. The Market Sector Lead will drive opportunity identification, qualification, and capture execution; build enduring relationships with customers and partners; and provide subject matter expertise across electronic security systems, physical access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, perimeter protection, and emerging technologies. What You’ll Do: Business Development & Capture Leadership * Lead capture strategy for major federal integrated security opportunities across DoD, DHS, DOE, FAA, TSA, and other federal agencies. * Own the full capture lifecycle: opportunity identification, qualification, teaming strategy, win themes, pricing inputs, and proposal leadership. * Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned to Organizational Unit (OU) and corporate growth targets. * Partner with internal operations, solutions architects, and proposal staff to build competitive, compliant, and winning bids. Customer & Partner Engagement * Serve as primary relationship owner for senior government security stakeholders, contracting officers, and program managers. * Build and sustain trusted partnerships with OEMs, integrators, and strategic primes to expand teaming opportunities. * Represent Versar at security industry events (ASIS GSX, ISC West, ISC East, etc.), acting as a visible thought leader and brand ambassador. * Translate customer mission requirements into actionable capture strategies and solution offerings. Market Leadership & Strategy * Acts as subject matter expert in complex, integrated electronic security solutions for federal customers including physical access control systems, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, perimeter protection, security communication systems, and AI-enabled platforms. * Monitors, assesses and tracks market dynamics: funding trends, procurement vehicles, competitor strategies, and customer priorities. * Provides executive-level insights to OU and corporate leadership, shaping account strategies and investment decisions. * Contributes to white papers, market intelligence briefs, and customer roadmaps to enhance Versar’s positioning. * Responds to sources sought notices, authors vendor specific capability statements and maintains a repository of updated ISS team member resumes. Leadership & Collaboration * Mentor junior capture and BD staff, elevating team knowledge and effectiveness. * Foster a culture of collaboration across Growth, Operations, and functional teams. * Ensure adherence to Versar’s capture management process and reporting standards. * Support overall OU revenue and pipeline commitments as part of the corporate growth plan. What You’ll Bring: Required * 15+ years of progressive experience in complex integrated electronic security solutions (physical access control system, video surveillance system, intrusion detection system, perimeter protection in an enterprise solution that meets FIPS-201, FICAM, HSPD-12 compliance) * Proven track record in the federal GovCon security sector, with direct experience supporting customers such as USACE, NAVFAC, TSA, FEMA, DOT, DHS, DOE, FAA, USMS, DoD installations, and other federal security programs. * Demonstrated success leading and winning large-scale capture efforts ($25M+ contract value), including strategy, customer shaping, and proposal leadership. * Experience collaborating across delivery teams and operating units (e.g., operations, engineering, proposal development and business development) to identify growth opportunities, expand scope, and strengthen client relationships. * Strong background in partner and OEM ecosystems (e.g., Johnson Controls -C•CURE 9000, Honeywell - LenelS2, Identiv, Hirsch -Velocity, Genetec -Security Center , Milestone Systems - XProtect, Axis, Bosch, Pelco, Hanwha, Cisco, Siemens and other leading technology providers). * Established network with government program managers, contracting officers, and integrators, with the ability to cultivate trust-based relationships that drive pipeline growth. * Demonstrated ability to translate customer mission needs into technical and programmatic solutions that win in competitive environments. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive engagement skills with the ability to represent the OU and company at high-profile industry forums. * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Security Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Preferred * Industry certifications such as Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), underscoring credibility in the security field. * Prior P&L or regional leadership experience, with accountability for sales, revenue, and delivery outcomes across multi-state or multi-agency portfolios. * Familiarity with federal procurement vehicles (e.g., OASIS, GSA Schedules, IDIQs, GWACs) and how to strategically position security offerings within them. * Capture management certification (Shipley, APMP) or advanced business degree (MBA, MS). * Active security clearance (Secret or above), or ability to obtain one. * Salesforce advanced user. Location Requirements The position will primarily work remotely with about 25% of travel required.
