This role centers on bridging technical and business needs to optimize workflow efficiency, data handoffs, and data integrity. In addition to core product management duties, the Technical Product Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, clinical, and analytics teams to champion standards-based solutions that enhance operational performance and support data-driven decision-making. This is a strategic role supporting Veracyte's broader digital transformation in laboratory diagnostics, analytics, and order-to-cash processing. This position is based out of our South San Francisco or San Diego office (hybrid) and we are open to remote (US, PST ideal). Key Responsibilities: • Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Veracyte workflows prioritizing features based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, lab, data analytics, customer services, or billing, to gather requirements, translate them into user stories, and ensure alignment with Veracyte's diagnostics ecosystem. • Conduct user feedback sessions to identify opportunities for optimizing Veracyte workflow efficiency, improving order processing, or analytics workflows. • Oversee the integration of healthcare standards and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements like HIPAA or CLIA and interoperability mandates. • Design and implement product features that enable efficient workflows between laboratory systems, analytics platforms, and internal stakeholders. • Evaluate and integrate APIs, workflows, and tools to support real-time order processing and result reporting. • Work with stakeholders to define success metrics, such as turnaround time and data accuracy. • Provide technical guidance on diagnostics-specific use cases, including patient data handling and result interpretation. • Support the development and refinement of product strategy and policies. • Partner with leadership to align Veracyte workflows with Veracyte's overall digital and data strategies. • Recommend best practices for scalability, security, and user-centric design in healthcare integrations. • Facilitate training and documentation for internal teams and external partners on the interconnect service. • Mentor junior product team members and foster collaboration across disciplines to promote innovation and continuous improvement. • Scrum product owner for assigned Veracyte teams. • Host of scrum backlog grooming and daily stand-up meetings. Who You Are: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical products in healthcare or software integration. • Preference for candidates with prior experience in healthcare environments optimizing lab, order-to-cash, or analytics workflows. • Familiarity with Salesforce, Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS) or bioinformatics pipelines. • Strong technical proficiency, including understanding of APIs, data modeling, cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP), and software development lifecycle. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, regulated industry. #LI-Remote For candidates based in our South San Francisco office, the salary range is $148,000 - $160,000. For candidates based in our San Diego office, the salary range is $138,000 - $150,000. For candidates working remote (US), the salary range is $135,000 - $145,000. The Principal Software Tester is a senior, hands-on quality leader responsible for defining, executing, and continuously improving the software testing strategy within Veracyte's regulated environment. This role ensures that all software products meet applicable quality, safety, and compliance requirements while supporting efficient delivery processes. The Principal Software Tester acts as a subject-matter expert in verification and validation (V&V), test automation, risk-based testing, and regulatory compliance, providing technical guidance to junior testers and collaborating closely with engineering, product, and quality functions. Key Responsibilities • Act as key point of contact for testing and QA aspects of releases, providing testing services and coordinating with internal resources. • Develop and execute test strategies (functional, regression, integration), & test cases, Develop supporting test plans and reports • Demonstrated strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to find and solve the root cause of problems. • Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. • Serve as a liaison between internal technical teams, and third-party software vendors where applicable • Manage and prioritize testing related projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and with a focus on quality and long-term sustainability. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and potential automation of testing strategies and processes. • Ensure adherence to regulatory and data integrity standards across computerized systems. • Mentor/coach junior level test team members. For candidates based in our South San Francisco office, the salary range is $179,000 - $200,000. For candidates working remote (US), the salary range is $150,200 - $174,400. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
