Manage competitive intelligence collection and analysis to inform company strategy and lead strategic initiatives across departments. | Self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills and experience driving strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. | Senior Manager of Competitive intelligence & Strategic projects Background Our north star at Veho is simple: we want to Win It All: become a large, profitable and irreplaceable company that will change the face of this industry. In 2016 when we started Veho, we had a clear conviction: ecommerce will continue to grow; Amazon will pressure everyone else to push the boundaries around speed, cost and customer experience, and legacy carriers will fail to adapt. We started Veho to replace these legacy carriers with a customer-centric technology company that offers shipping solutions designed for the ecommerce era. Nine years later, the industry is changing again in front of our eyes again. As we foresaw in 2016, many legacy carriers are struggling - some of them are going out of the business. At the same time, more and more disruptors are entering the space, and more large international companies are trying to figure out how to play in this market. To continue winning in this space and build one of the greatest companies in the world, we must continue to get smarter about the competitive landscape. We need to constantly read the map, develop a point of view, and act on it boldly to our advantage. What are we looking for? We are looking for a resourceful, analytical self-starter to build Veho’s competitive intelligence and lead strategic initiatives. You will roll up your sleeves and leverage the rest of the organization to build a comprehensive competitive intelligence database to shape our company-wide strategy, provide the Commercial team with market intelligence and industry benchmarks, and the business area partners with intel on how competitors are solving similar problems. You lean towards action and identify opportunities that others might have missed. What will you do? Oversee the end-to-end management, planning, and execution of competitive intelligence collection • * Roll up the sleeves and gather first-hand information through onsite studies (boots on the ground), conversations with experts, reading industry reports and attending industry conferences • Leverage the rest of the company to help with intelligence gathering • Translate findings into actionable insights; proactively educate business stakeholders with the knowledge to make strategic decisions. • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for competitive intelligence, staying abreast of industry trends. • Ideate and execute on strategic initiatives borne out of competitive insights • Identify opportunities for business focus, potential investments or partnership opportunities • Develop reports and presentations for senior management and actively contribute to the vision for Veho. • Influence company roadmaps across Commercial, Operations, Product and Legal. What skills and knowledge should you bring? • Self starter who identifies opportunities in our business model and the industry and is hungry to take advantage of them. • A can-do mindset. Resourceful and creative in identifying how to gain access to data and competitive intelligence. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, adept at articulating strategic implications from data analysis • Experience in driving strategic initiatives and effectively working with cross-functional leaders to operational outputs across an organization. • Effective written and oral communication skills with internal and external stakeholders; ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex ideas and large data sets. • Big picture thinker. Possess a progressive mindset and always willing to build in-depth market knowledge and stay abreast of logistics trends, industry players, and emerging technologies. • Strong cross-functional collaboration and effective partnerships with Sales, Ops, R&D, and Finance.

Compensation$119K - 130K a year

Own and execute the product roadmap for transportation execution workflows, yard and dock operations, real-time visibility, exception handling, and operational enablement to improve on-time performance and efficiency. | Mid-level product management experience with strong operational focus, data-driven decision making, systems thinking, and collaboration skills; transportation or yard management system experience is a plus but not required. | About The Role: As Product Manager – Transportation, you’ll own the roadmap and execution for the technology that powers Veho’s first and middle mile operations. Your charter spans the transportation execution lifecycle—from truck scheduling and dock flow to yard visibility and trailer departure accuracy—with a focus on maximizing on-time performance and operational efficiency at scale. You’ll define, build, and iterate on features across Veho’s transportation execution stack, including our 3P TMS (Turvo) and YMS-like systems. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams across Ground Operations, Facilities Tech, Network Orchestration, Data Science, and Engineering to ensure Veho’s trucks, docks, and yards run predictably every day. Your responsibilities will include: 1. Transportation Execution Platform - Own the core workflows that govern Veho’s first and middle-mile movements including load plan creation to truck check-in and dock assignment to departure confirmation and real-time tracking. 2. Yard and Dock Operations - Design tools that digitize yard movements, trailer appointment scheduling, and load handoffs. Streamline how Ground Ops manage inbound/outbound flow to reduce dwell and increase trailer turns. 3. Real-Time Visibility & Control - Integrate live truck status, load completion, and departure forecasts into Veho’s WMS. Empower operators to proactively identify and resolve risks to on-time delivery. 4. Exception & Disruption Handling - Transform today’s ad-hoc workflows into structured, automated recovery systems. Enable instant detection, escalation, and resolution for missed departures, late arrivals, and capacity surges. 5. Utilization & Capacity Levers - Equip Ops with the data and decision support needed to hit utilization targets. Help determine when to consolidate, split, or dispatch additional trucks to maintain >75% utilization without service risk. 6. Tool Simplification & Self-Service - Unify siloed tools into a single, intuitive interface. Enable Operations to manage transportation schedules, ETAs, and trailer assignments without engineering support. 7. Operational Enablement - Build for the end user—the load planners, transportation managers, dock manager, and dispatcher. Drive adoption through tight feedback loops with facility teams. 8. On-the-Ground Learning - Spend time in hubs and spokes observing trailer loading, dwell patterns, and dispatch processes. Translate real-world bottlenecks into measurable product improvements. What a Great Candidate Looks Like: Execution-Oriented: You drive impact through operational clarity—your products make trucks move faster and facilities run cleaner. Data-Driven: You obsess over delivering on key metrics, using real-time data, forecasts, and experimentation to inform decisions. Systems Thinker: You understand how TMS, YMS, and WMS systems connect and design for seamless execution. Empathetic for Operators: You build intuitive workflows that match how Ground Ops actually work. Collaborative Influencer: You partner across Eng, Design, Ops, and Data Science to align on measurable outcomes. Structured Communicator: You translate technical and operational complexity into crisp, actionable narratives and requirements. Nice to Have (but Not Required): Experience with Transportation or Yard Management Systems (e.g., Turvo, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, project44, FourKites) Background in carrier, 3PL, or warehouse logistics environments Experience building tools for transportation field or facility operators Understanding of load planning Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $119-130k per year depending on experience Equity: Generous ownership package aligned with Veho’s commitment to shared success Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); inclusive work environment PTO: Flexible paid time off policy Location: NYC, Dallas Relocation: Not available Visa Sponsorship: Sponsorship not available
