Oversees warehouse operations, manages personnel, and ensures safety and efficiency in logistics functions. | Requires 2 years of warehouse/operations experience or an associate degree, with knowledge of material handling, inventory, and computer software. | POSITION SUMMARYAddress of warehouse: 3100 New McEver Rd NW Acworth, GA 30101 REPORTS TO: Regional Operations Manager or Operations Manager 3 DIRECT REPORTS: Varies - Supervisors, Material Handlers, Drivers Oversees warehouse and operational functions for a small facility, to include logistics, warehousing, and inventory management. May manage Supervisors, Material Handlers, Drivers. Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and product. This is an entry level management role. This position requires 70% management responsibilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the warehouse as required. • Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of warehouse facilities including equipment. Ensures that both the inside and outside of the facilities are clean and orderly. • Oversees warehouse processes to include inventory management, transportation, and personnel • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication. Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of changes in policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards. • Assigns and coordinates personnel, scheduling to ensure workload is done efficiently. Keeps shift properly staffed and plans for high seasons • Provides measurable feedback to assigned personnel and suggestions for improved performance. Partners with Human Resources on employee development plans as needed. • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary. • Proactively manages the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. • Supports loss prevention efforts by ensuring security equipment is maintained and facilities and secure. • Assists with process improvement initiatives. • Participate in warehouse moves and special projects, as needed. • Oversees the warehouse operational expenses to meet financial goals and expense policies. • Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met. • Oversees the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment. • Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the Company. Physical Demands and Work Environment: • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. • Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots. • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent. Schedule for this position is: Monday - Thursday 5:00 pm - 3:30 am. or until job is complete. Work 4 days - 10 hour shifts and get Friday Saturday and Sunday Off!! Schedules are subject to change based on business needs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Load, unload, stock tires and auto parts in a fast-paced warehouse environment using industrial vehicles such as a forklift or picker equipment • Use scanners to find and put away tires and assist with inventory control • You can expect to lift 50 pounds consistently throughout your shift and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds. When lifting commercial tires you will do team lifts or use mechanical equipment. • When working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires you will need to be able to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds • Some of our stock racks are 25 feet tall, so you must be comfortable working at those heights safely while operating equipment. • Be on the move. Assist users by describing and understanding Workday's solutions and leverage Workday to meet business needs. • Thoroughly test, implement/configure and document new functionality • Maintain the Workday system including security, business processes, reporting, integrations and other aspects of the system; use escalation protocols appropriately • Lead updates twice per year; thoroughly reviewing what functionality is changing with the update, implementing new functionality based on business priorities, and creating awareness of changes to impacted users. • Assist in development and improvement of effective, efficient, and flexible business processes • Define and prioritize projects based on impact and effort; Manage multiple Workday projects simultaneously • Offer proactive training and consultation with People Resources, management and other users • Design and implement dashboards and reports providing the Company with business intelligence critical to driving strategies and making key decisions • Continue to improve Workday adoption throughout the Company including outside locations. Assist in determining the appropriate cadence of adoption. • Develop value propositions and ROI statements and present to management • Responsible for department Internal Control adherence.
