The Director of Market Operations, Mid-America Physician Services (MAPS), is responsible for the execution of operational and strategic work, both day-to-day operations and special initiatives, for the Affiliate medical group. As part of this role, the Director, Market Operations, also executes on the market growth strategy to support success and profitable growth for our affiliate partner as part of the Unified Women’s Healthcare (Unified) organization. The Director, Market Operations is considered one of the key leaders “on the ground” in the market to work with the healthcare practices (care centers), the clinical governance board (CGB) and the Unified support team. This leader oversees the management services delivered to the affiliate medical group and leads optimization of the care centers’ performance. Responsibilities • Matrixed leadership of the dedicated and designated team members required to provide MSO services and support the affiliate in achieving its goals, financial and otherwise. These include: revenue cycle management, provider relations, marketing, contracting, compliance, risk management, human resources, recruiting, payroll, credentialing, finance/accounting, IT, integrations, and PMIS & EHR oversight. • Development and support in execution of strategic plans to drive profitable growth for the Affiliate Medical Group. • Support of the Clinical Governance Board for the Affiliate Medical Group to ensure that objectives and focus are clear; facilitate preparation, execution, and follow up for meetings and engagement of various board members and CGB leadership. • Help practices maximize revenue and operational performance – both directly and/or through management of team member(s). • Management of reporting of financials, goals, and KPIs (key performance indicators), including operating metrics, to understand and report on progress related to goals and operating plan throughout the year. • Oversight and implementation of business office policies, processes and standard operating procedures. • Identification and facilitation of process and service improvement opportunities and related structural needs. In support of the above responsibilities, the following will be required: • Engagement across Unified’s centralized functional teams to ensure alignment on support needed for market goals and Affiliate medical group needs • Direct work with clinical leadership to implement clinical workflows to enable high-quality care and improve patient and physician satisfaction • Compliance with regulatory guidelines and legal contracts • Organization and facilitation of various committees for the medical group supporting IT, Quality Assurance, Value-Based Care, Compliance, Risk Management, and other important initiatives • Support for other duties based on diverse business needs, service requests, and other requirements and needs of the Affiliate medical group • Support for critical talent and culture foundational work that enables success for the above, including hiring, performance management/establishment of goals, team engagement, and relationship building. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferred in business or other field requiring highly developed language and reasoning skills. • 5 to 10 years’ experience in a health care organization with broad industry knowledge of patient care management, community-based physician practice management, managed care and care financing at the macro level; experience working directly with physicians and practice managers in a similar model (management services organization) preferred; experience directly in the women’s health space considered a plus • Experience working with a senior executive team and establishing structure and management process is preferred, especially as it relates to communication approach and style; experience with change management, negotiation, or collaboration with win/win in mind is considered a plus • Other necessary skills: • Clear communication skills, written and verbal, are required • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint required • Track record of success; ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment • Highly responsive and organized, including the ability to advance multiple initiatives in parallel and proactively plan to coordinate across multiple parties and/or to execute on complex projects • Highly developed skills in navigating a matrixed organization, with the ability to establish and leverage relationships to drive results in a large organization • Excellent operational, analytical, and problem-solving skills We’re here for you—both personally and professionally. Relocation assistance is available. Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS), a subsidiary of Unified Women’s Healthcare, is a comprehensive solution for in-office Breast Imaging services. We utilize top-of-the-line equipment and expert staff with exceptional standards of care. Embedded within our network of affiliated OBGYN provider practices, this offers patients an intimate and familiar in-office environment, offering a convenient one-stop solution for well-women visits and annual screening mammograms. Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Manager of Breast Imaging Operations in the Midwest (Illinois). The Manager of Breast Imaging Operations is responsible for addressing the day-to-day operating needs and related activities of the installed mammography and breast ultrasound business units for all locations. Must be an Experienced Mammography technologist ARRT registered RTRM. Provides oversight and support to imaging staff at all Midwest region locations. Requires regular travel to locations in IL. Ensure scheduling of technologist coverage for each location daily, anticipating operational problems with planned preventive measures, arranging for repairs of equipment, phone, cable, and other technological components to ensure minimal to no downtime of operations. Assist the Manager of Quality for up-to-date status of all required licenses and regulatory permits/certifications, including but not limited to above State’s DHHs, CMS, OSHA, and FDA. Be available to assist with QA activities and database oversight of technologist and radiologist credentials. The current market responsibility include the state of Illinois. This is subject to change. Responsibilities • Build and maintain a good working relationship with technologists, care center managers, and care center staff. • Partner with care centers to continually improve operations and patient volume. • Direct oversight of scheduling imaging staff. • Performs employee performance reviews and applying progressive discipline if needed. • Responds/arranges/may provide for emergency coverage of technologists. • Keep a log of all accreditation renewal requirements and assists with ensuring that all installations remain compliant with state and federal entities. • Serves as a key resource for MQSA, FDA, and ACR knowledge and individual state requirements. • Provides supporting documentation for ACR and MQSA regulations and ensures that the sites have current information. • Assists in the development and implementation of Policies & Procedures. • Assists PACS administrator when needed. • Monitors maintenance and repair of equipment when needed. • Works directly with Sr. Director of Breast Imaging Operations in hiring and mentoring of staff Additional Job Functions: • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or healthcare-related field, preferred. • Minimum four years' experience in a Radiology or Breast Imaging management position, preferred. • Must be Experienced Mammography technologist ARRT registered RTRM. • Must be willing to obtain IL Mammography License. • Requires a current State Mammography License. • Must have current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R) (M). • Must meet continuing experience and continuing education required by MQSA. • Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to adapt style for most effective results. • Familiar with outpatient practice procedures, including EMR workflow experience. • Experience working with integrated patient scheduling preferred. • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively in group and one on one settings. • Results-orientated individual possessing a strong record of success. • Resourceful approach to problem-solving, demonstrating critical thinking skills. • Excellent project, time management skills. • Advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Ability to travel up to 50+%, including overnight visits. • Attend departmental meetings as required.
