Plan and execute sales strategy to manage and grow portfolio accounts, drive sales process from start to finish, develop new logo prospects, and collaborate with technical and fulfillment teams. | 6+ years sales experience, associate’s degree minimum, deep knowledge of Field Evaluation and Inspection Services, proficiency in MS Office and CRM, and willingness to travel 10-25%. | Job Description • Plans sales strategy and maintains ongoing plan to prioritize portfolio of accounts and maintain relationships throughout the year. • Interfaces with customers to promote and sell UL products and services. • Uses technical credibility to build relationships with buyers and centers of influence. • Under minimal guidance, drives sales process from beginning to end, leveraging support from Sales Support Specialists and Inside Sales Executives when necessary. • Proactively manages customer to ensure renewal of services where applicable. • Continuously explore and develop opportunities to sell specialty product / services. • Establishes strong connects with new logo prospects from inbound and outbound channels to qualify their needs, understand decision-makers, and land new customers. • Proactively engages in discovery, opportunity identification, proposals, and closing for sales of core UL products and services. • Leverages technical support when customer has a qualified need. • Creates pipeline of new logo prospects to supplement existing account activities, owns new logo process through close of sale. • Brings in additional resources when advantageous to support sales process, and delegates leadership of the sale to Technical Inside Sales Executives • Transitions implementation to success / fulfillment teams after sales have been closed to ensure seamless service delivery. • Where applicable, supports development of multi-year account plans in Testing, Inspection and Certification by providing insight • Actions on opportunities to sell specialty product / services. • Works with the remaining account managers on discovery and opportunity identification • Works under minimal guidance of account managers to seamlessly work with customers throughout the sales cycle. • Provides expert input during account planning process on potential growth opportunities within assigned solution area. Qualifications • Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. • 6+ years of related sales experience • Deep knowledge and experience with Field Evaluation and Inspection Services • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. • Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes related to Field Evaluations and Inspection Services. • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software. • 10-25% business travel and work outside of the office is required What we offer: Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated annual compensation for this position is $139,500. - $170,500. which includes a base salary of $90,000. - $110,000. and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 55% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours). Provide pre-sales technical support and demonstrations, work with customers to gather requirements, assist with configuration design, and support sales teams to drive software product sales. | Bachelor's or graduate degree in software engineering or related field, 6+ years of related experience, deep knowledge of specialty software products, business acumen, and proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. | JOB DESCRIPTION • Is aware of the broader strategy for software product sales, based on high level of software product knowledge and frequent interactions with customers and account management teams. • Supports primary sellers in relationship building, lending technical credibility with customer buyers. • Works hands-on with customers pre-sale to gather solution requirements and demonstrate and communicate implementation best practices. • Works independently on product demonstrations and provide reassurance that the software product will work effectively and deliver ROI in the customers environment. • Interfaces with technical customer personnel to communicate value of solution in detail. • Delivers technical presentations of offerings to customers and prospects. • Assists with configuration design based upon customer requirements and existing IT systems. • Tests and integrates software products in customer environments to effectively serve customer needs. • Provides pre-sales support as a subject matter expert to the sales team and for pre-qualified opportunities. • Works with account teams, provide new perspectives to existing solutions to existing customers and New Account Executives to demonstrate value of UL software products to prospective customers. • Leverages technical knowledge to partner with sellers to drive overall solution win. • Supports hand-off to software customer success resources to ensure adoption. • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelors and/or graduate degree in software engineering or related field. • 6+ years of related experience. • Relevant technical capabilities in software engineering and design architecture. • Deep knowledge and experience with assigned specialty software products / services. • Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes. • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software. The estimated annual compensation for this position is $142,000. - $184,600. which includes a base salary of $100,000. - $130,000. and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 42% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
