Manage and coordinate biopharma projects, maintain communication with clients and internal teams, and support project financials and reporting. | Over 5 years of relevant experience, excellent communication skills, and proven project management ability, ideally with some familiarity in life sciences or related fields. | Reporting to Manager, Biopharma Project Management the Biopharma Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project management, coordination, and implementation relative to Biopharma antibody discovery, optimization, proprietary libraries, and other related businesses of Twist Biopharma. The position manages all communications required to initiate and complete each biopharma project to the satisfaction of the customer, as follows: Communication with customers, the Antibody Engineering and Protein Production teams, the Business Development team, Twist Finance, and Twist Legal, including, but not limited to, executed Agreements (contracts), project proposal details, COGS, pricing and quotes, statements of work, shipments and invoicing. What You’ll Be Doing Respond directly or direct all incoming inquiries from customers and the business development team to the appropriate expertise within the Biopharma Project Team; respond quickly and professionally with the information provided by the Biopharma Project Team in response to all customer and internal inquiries; maintain records Develop a general knowledge of typical Biopharma Project workflows Monitor and report “real time” on the status of all Biopharma commercial (revenue-generating) projects in-process; attend weekly Biopharma team meetings Maintain and update transparent, accessible list of Biopharma WIP Maintain accurate, timely records in all systems to allow for up-to-date reporting Manage communication between existing and new customers and the internal team providing project fulfillment details and deliverables; provide written updates on project progress as agreed with certain customers Work with Finance to support the development and implementation of a standard process to invoice Biopharma customers in an expeditious manner as and when required Maintain a “real-time” revenue reporting system that includes all customer (revenue-generating) biopharma projects (including TCR library products) Working with Product Management, the Biopharma team, and Finance, develop a Biopharma menu of services and sub-services with accurate COGS and end-user pricing to support customer quotes and proposals Assist Finance with navigating through the payments processed for invoiced milestones Indirectly manage Biopharma project capacity to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve business goals, report capacity issues Working with key customers, develop processes to manage order intake, process progression, shipment/delivery, and sharing of project information Participate in training the sales teams and support selling activities as appropriate Support the creation of content collateral and product messaging to convey value proposition to target markets Any other “ad hoc” projects not listed above as required from time to time Follow regulatory and ISO 13485 requirements What You’ll Bring to the Team 5+ years of relevant work experience in the life sciences or related field, with >2 years in a customer-facing role Requires Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field. (S)he is accountable for delivering accurate revenue forecasts throughout the fiscal year, enabling the executive team to monitor business performance and drive decision making. (S)he is required to maintain knowledge of competitor products and their commercial strategies, identifying, and escalating their activities in a time bound manner. (S)he is also accountable for providing customer feedback on Twist Bioscience products in addition to identifying unmet customer needs that will enable the development of new and innovative products. What You’ll Be Doing Job performance will involve a variety of activities including: Attain quarterly and annual revenue targets established from annual commission plans. Deliver accurate and timely forecasts for their territory. Develop and manage key relationships with new and existing customers at multiple organizational levels. Develop contingency and risk mitigation plans for their region as necessary. Develop and execute supply agreements to support new and existing business. Work collaboratively with operations to minimize time to revenue. Maintain CRM database with up-to-date information Represent the company at relevant trade shows. What You’ll Bring to the Team EXPERIENCE: Proven track record of delivering financial targets on a quarterly and annual basis At least 3-5+ years of experience of selling life science reagents and solutions. Knowledge of synthetic biology products and markets preferred. Experience with a custom or made to order business a big plus Businesses to business experience preferred, in particular, selling to pharma, chemical and/or Agbio organizations. Demonstrated technical knowledge of synthetic biology applications utilizing synthetic genes, pathways and organisms a necessity. A background in technical sales and support or product management is preferred. Application of Salesforce.com a prerequisite. Manage marketing asset lifecycle, support stakeholders, and improve processes within a biotech or similar technical environment. | Bachelor's degree, biotech or similar industry experience, strong communication, project management skills, and technical understanding of products. | The Twist Marketing team is expanding its project management footprint, and is searching for a Marketing Project Manager to join the team. This is a dynamic role that is focused on managing the marketing asset lifecycle, across a wide variety of asset types, project types, and delivery methods. The core focus of this role is managing existing processes, but as the Marketing Project Manager comes up to speed at Twist, an expanding focus of the role will be to diagnose/troubleshoot existing processes, and create new/improved processes. This role will work closely with Twist’s Marketing Program Managers, who are subject matter experts for a given marketing vertical, and who own the generation and approval of marketing content. Marketing Project Managers, conversely, own the marketing asset process, and are experts in timelines, action items, managing small cross-functional teams, and coordinating complex processes with multiple stakeholders. This role will report to the Director of Marketing Ops. Responsibilities • Support a variety of stakeholders (typically Product Managers, Marketing Program Managers, Regional Marketing Managers) in successfully moving their projects through the marketing asset lifecycle at Twist. • Be an expert on the marketing process and act as a guide to all stakeholders • Get to know the team from top to bottom, and know who to go to for a particular step or question • For assigned projects, manage the marketing-related timelines, action items, deliverables, and subteam composition • Track marketing projects across the marketing organization, and support the prioritization process for these projects (i.e. provide data and inputs to decision-makers) Qualification • Bachelor’s or higher degree • Biotech industry (or similar: pharma, diagnostics, lab instrumentation, etc) experience required • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to all levels (peers, ICs, senior management) • Combination of Project/Program management experience and Marketing experience required • Technical background, to aid in understanding the products and marketing materials being developed (Twist’s products are typically quite technical) • Experience with stage-gate product development/NPI processes, working as a member of large cross-functional core teams • Experience working at both startups and larger/matrixed public companies is a strong plus • Experience with process development is a plus The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below.
