View Job
Compensation$200K - 200K a year

Manage technical sales processes from site survey to project delivery, acting as a technical advisor and expanding market presence in industrial sectors. | Requires 5+ years in industrial coatings or heavy construction sales, with technical acumen, industry standards knowledge, and willingness to travel. | We are a leading North American specialist in the engineering and application of high-performance surface protection systems. For decades, we have served as the invisible shield for the continent’s most critical infrastructure, protecting multibillion-dollar assets from the world’s most corrosive and abrasive environments. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Accounts Manager to join our technical sales team. This is not a "product" sales role—this is a consultative, solution-driven position where you will partner with facility owners and engineers to solve complex degradation challenges through advanced lining and coating technologies. Key Responsibilities • Consultative Sales Excellence: Identify and engage with key stakeholders in heavy industrial sectors to provide technical solutions for asset longevity. • Industry Liaison: Act as a technical advisor for facility managers and project engineers, helping them navigate NACE and SSPC standards to select the appropriate protection systems. • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage the sales cycle from initial site survey and specification consulting to final delivery and application oversight. • Market Expansion: Grow our footprint within specialized industrial segments, focusing on high-consequence environments where asset failure is not an option. • Technical Presentations: Deliver expert-level presentations on the science of corrosion control, abrasion resistance, and chemical containment. Core Service Areas Our team provides turnkey solutions across a massive range of disciplines, including: • Containment Systems: Secondary containment and tank linings for hazardous chemicals and fuels. • Surface Preparation: Advanced abrasive blasting, hydro-blasting, and robotic preparation methods. • Specialized Linings: Plural component applications, fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP), and high-temperature ceramic systems. • Infrastructure Defense: Intumescent fireproofing, lead abatement, and structural steel preservation. Candidate Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of success in at least two of the following industrial sectors: • Power Generation & Utilities: Experience with fossil fuel, nuclear, or hydroelectric facilities (e.g., cooling towers, penstocks, or FGD systems). • Water & Wastewater: Knowledge of municipal infrastructure, clarifiers, digesters, and potable water storage requirements (NSF/ANSI standards). • Oil, Gas & Petrochemical: Familiarity with midstream pipelines, refinery tank farms, or offshore asset protection. • Pulp & Paper / Chemical Processing: Understanding the unique challenges of highly acidic or caustic environments and liquor tanks. • Heavy Manufacturing / Mining: Experience with high-abrasion environments, mineral processing equipment, or fleet-wide maintenance programs. Qualifications • Experience: 5+ years of outside sales experience in industrial coatings, linings, or heavy construction services. • Technical Acumen: Ability to read blueprints, understand chemical resistance charts, and discuss surface profile specifications. • Industry Standards: A working knowledge of AMPP (formerly NACE/SSPC) standards is highly preferred. • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical data into a value-based business case for C-suite and plant-level decision-makers. • Travel: Willingness to travel regionally to job sites, manufacturing plants, and client headquarters (approx. 40-60%). Why Join Us? We operate at the intersection of chemistry and heavy engineering. Our team is backed by world-class application crews and a fleet of specialized equipment that allows us to take on projects our competitors simply cannot. We offer a competitive base salary, an uncapped commission structure, and a comprehensive benefits package designed for long-term career growth.
