Based in Lebanon, Tennessee, this permanent full-time position is essential for optimizing our supply chain and ensuring the availability of high-quality mechanical components. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for mechanical components including metal fabrications, enclosures, machined parts, stamped components, plastics, and related assemblies. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier relationships and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our global operations. Responsibilities • Develop and implement category strategies for mechanical components to achieve cost savings and quality improvements. • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the mechanical components sector. • Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company standards. • Lead supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, contract management, and sourcing decisions for both new product introduction (NPI) and production programs. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand requirements and align sourcing strategies. • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary. • Prepare and present reports on category performance and sourcing initiatives to senior management. • Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving procurement processes and reducing lead times. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management with a manufacturing environment. • Experience sourcing mechanical components such as sheet metal fabrications, metal enclosures, machined parts, stamped components, plastics, or structured assemblies. • Strong negotiation and contract management skills. • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools. • Proficient in data analysis and market research methodologies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience collaborating with suppliers and teams across North America. EMEA, and APAC. • Familiarity with fabrication processes including CNC machining, metal stamping, welding powder coating, die casting, and injection molding.
