Greet customers, operate POS system, handle transactions, assist with merchandising and stock management, supervise junior staff, and maintain store cleanliness. | Previous customer service or retail sales experience, cashiering and cash handling skills, basic math, strong communication, and supervisory experience preferred. | Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with various store operations. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive shopping experience will be key to our success. Responsibilities • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and needs. • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. • Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. • Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability. • Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. • Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management. • Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries. • Foster a welcoming environment by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the store. Qualifications • Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred. • Familiarity with cashiering duties and cash handling procedures. • Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members. • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer groups. • Experience in merchandising, stocking, or product demos is beneficial. • Supervisory experience is an asset for those looking to take on leadership responsibilities within the team.
