Job Title: Senior Director, Integrated Strategy & Storytelling (e.l.f. Beauty Account) Role Overview As the Senior Director, Integrated Strategy & Storytelling, you will be the strategic North Star for one of our agency’s most dynamic, fast-moving, and culturally defining clients: e.l.f. Beauty. In this role, you will demonstrate the ability to build trusted client relationships and act as a senior strategic advisor, establishing and maintaining long-term strategic relationships with senior media and marketing stakeholders, often at the C-suite and VP level, to build trust and long-range partnership value. We build beautiful, data-rich strategies, but we need you to give them a soul, a clear point of view, and a radical sense of brevity. You are part master storyteller, part communications planner, and part culture-vulture. Your primary mission is to translate complex digital, creator, and media landscapes into high-impact, concise go-to-market strategies that instill absolute confidence in e.l.f.’s executive leadership. If you know how to command a room, edit a slide deck down to its absolute essence, and understand how a TikTok trend converts into a checkout cart moment—this is your stage. Key Responsibilities 1. Master Storytelling & Executive Presence Lead Strategic Portfolio Planning: Lead strategic planning across the large, complex e.l.f. Beauty account and act as a senior escalation point on planning quality, client confidence, and major strategic choices. Act as the senior strategic partner to Client Partners on major account planning, identifying media-driven growth opportunities that can expand client revenue, expand the portfolio, and deepen the agency relationship. Own the Narrative: Take complex data, media plans, and creative concepts and distill them into punchy, clear, and unignorable strategic recommendations. The "De-Clutter" Champion: Audit and elevate our client deliverables. You know that sometimes the best 50-slide deck is actually a 5-slide deck. You will ensure e.l.f. leaders never "get lost" in the content. Lead the Room: Serve as a trusted strategic partner to e.l.f. VPs and executives, delivering high-level perspectives on the beauty, consumer, and digital marketing landscape. Business Expansion: Co-lead major new business and portfolio expansion pitches in collaboration with Business Development and Client Partners, shaping the planning story, strategic narrative, and case for investment. 2. Product-Led Tools & Comms Strategy Cultural Pulse: Keep a relentless, real-time pulse on internet culture, community shifts, and emerging digital trends. Ensure the agency and the client are acting on trends, not just reacting to them. Evangelize Internal Tool Suites: Lead and evangelize adoption and integration of the agency's proprietary planning suite and broader planning tools into strategic planning work, focusing on scalable solutions and stronger planning quality. Maintain expert fluency in the audience and planning product suite, including its roadmap, methodology, and data structures, acting as a key internal evangelist for its strategic application. Connect Advanced Measurement: Articulate the structure, strengths, and limitations of available planning tools and connect those insights to advanced measurement frameworks such as Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and broader client business goals. Oversight of Advanced Testing: Oversee advanced data analysis approaches and planning-related testing, ensuring strategic hypotheses are clear and learnings are actionable, allowing the team to learn quickly from challenges and turn them into stronger practices. Total Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy: Connect the dots between brand moments and media execution. You will orchestrate cohesive communications plans that ensure campaigns hit the right communities at the right time. 3. Commerce & Creator Integration Commerce-First Mindset: Bridge the gap between brand awareness and modern social commerce. You understand the backend and frontend of platforms like TikTok Shop and modern commerce ecosystems. The Matrix Matrix: Masterfully navigate and advise on the nuance, overlap, and synergy between Owned vs. Earned vs. Paid media channels. What You Bring (Qualifications) Experience: 7-10+ years of digital strategy, communications planning, or brand strategy experience, ideally within a fast-paced agency or high-growth consumer brand (Beauty/CPG experience is a major plus). Cross-Channel Expertise: Strong experience across both linear and digital channels, with particular depth in video, social, and integrated full-funnel planning. Mastery across at least three marketing channels is preferred. The Editor's Eye: A proven track record of creating high-impact, concise presentation decks for C-suite and VP-level audiences. Deep Social & Creator Expertise: An intimate understanding of the creator economy, and community building. Platform Fluent: Direct experience or deep familiarity with social commerce platforms (e.g., TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, YouTube) and modern commerce platforms, including Amazon. Tool Fluency: Deep familiarity and a strong point of view on planning, insight, and competitive research tools such as Kantar, SimilarWeb, Pathmatics, MRI, eMarketer, and similar platforms, along with an understanding of how they shape strategic planning quality. Cultural Curiosity: You genuinely love pop culture, beauty trends, and digital subcultures. You are a natural trend-forecaster. Core Attributes Ruthlessly Concise: You value the client's time and know how to get to the point quickly. Community-Minded: You think about audiences as communities and fandoms, not just demographics. Confident & Candid: You have a clear point of view and aren't afraid to gently redirect a client or a team toward a better strategic path. Lead enterprise measurement frameworks and strategic analytics for CPG, managing analysts and C-suite partnerships to drive growth. | 10+ years in marketing analytics or consulting with strong MMM and incrementality testing background, bachelor's in quantitative field, CPG/Retail experience preferred. | Who we are: Tinuiti is the largest independent full-funnel marketing agency in the U.S. across the media that matters most, with $4 billion in digital media under management and more than 1,200 employees. Built for marketers who demand growth and accountability, Tinuiti unites media and measurement under one roof to eliminate waste—the biggest growth killer of all—and scale what works. With expert teams across Commerce, Search, Social, TV & Audio, and more, Tinuiti delivers measurable results with brutal simplicity: Love Growth. Hate Waste. We support 100% remote work for this role! We’d love to hear from you if: Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. As the Insights Director you will be responsible for: Strategic Analytics & Enterprise Measurement Lead the development of holistic, enterprise-level measurement frameworks that move beyond channel-specific metrics to capture total business impact. Design and oversee multi-year learning agendas and sophisticated testing roadmaps (incrementality, geo-testing, etc.) that align with long-term C-suite objectives. Expertly navigate the transition to modern measurement (MMM, unified measurement, clean rooms) and provide guidance on privacy-safe data strategies. CPG Vertical Focus: Leverage deep knowledge of CPG dynamics including retail media networks, household penetration, and market share data to contextualize performance against industry benchmarks. Executive Client Partnership Build and maintain deep-seated relationships with senior client stakeholders (VP and C-level). You are the first person they call for a POV on industry shifts or business challenges. Identify opportunities where advanced analytics can solve business problems, effectively scoping and selling in high-value projects that drive incremental agency revenue. Act as the guardian of the analytical relationship, proactively identifying potential friction points and ensuring our insights are indispensable to the client's success. Internal Stakeholder Leadership Serve as the strategic connection between Planning, Investment, and Strategy teams, ensuring that data-driven insights are woven into the fabric of every media plan. While not necessarily a direct people manager of engineers, you will provide "dotted-line" mentorship to junior analysts, elevating their ability to tell stories with data and think more strategically. Partner with BI and Data Engineering leads to ensure the data infrastructure supports the strategic vision without needing to manage the underlying code or ETL processes yourself. Thought Leadership & Communication Distill highly complex statistical concepts into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences. You don't just present data; you present a business case. Develop and publish internal and external POVs on emerging trends (e.g., the demise of third-party cookies, AI in marketing, or the evolution of retail media). People Management You will have several direct reports at the Manager or Sr. Analyst level and will be responsible for their career development. This includes defining and tracking progress against long term goals, delegating responsibilities, and proving valuable feedback. Professional Qualifications Experience: 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or management consulting, with at least 4 years in a high-level client-facing leadership role. Strategy Over Execution: Proven track record of designing measurement frameworks for global brands, with a focus on long-term brand health and enterprise-level ROI. Enterprise Measurement Literacy: Deep familiarity with the application and interpretation of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Incrementality testing. You understand the limitations and strengths of these tools better than the tools themselves. Vertical Expertise: Prior experience in the CPG/Retail sector is highly preferred, including familiarity with IRI/Nielsen data and the nuances of the path-to-purchase in a fragmented retail landscape. Communication: Exceptional presentation skills; ability to command a room and influence senior decision-makers through clarity, confidence, and commercial acumen. Technical Literacy (Strategic Level): While you are not expected to build dashboards or write SQL daily, you must have the technical fluency to collaborate with engineers and data scientists. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Business) or equivalent experience; MBA or Master’s in a related field is a plus. The hiring salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000. We also offer an incentive pay program (RevShare) comprising a monthly variable revenue payment opportunity and a discretionary annual performance bonus. Hiring salaries are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, parity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits, incentive pay, and equity upon request. Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for > Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-101 et seq. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. As Senior Director, Commerce, you will lead Commerce strategy across a book of major clients while also helping define and elevate the excellence of Tinuiti’s broader Commerce practice. You will translate business ambition into integrated commerce growth plans that drive measurable outcomes across marketplaces, retail media, and the broader commerce ecosystem. In addition to leading senior client strategy, you will raise the bar on commerce innovation, output quality, hiring, capability building, and best practices across the department. This role is best suited for a senior commerce leader who combines deep subject matter expertise with strong commercial judgment, executive client presence, and the ability to scale impact through people, standards, and functional leadership. Key Responsibilities: Client-Centric: Design and socialize multi-year commerce growth strategies aligned to client objectives, investment priorities, and market realities. Build and sustain trusted relationships across senior stakeholder systems, including executive-level client contacts, while navigating complex commerce platform, retail, and organizational dynamics. Own a portfolio of commerce client relationships, ensuring strategies are tied to measurable business outcomes such as growth, retention, profitability, and market share. Partner closely with Innovation & Growth and adjacent leaders to identify what is next for the commerce practice, codify emerging best practices, and translate innovation into scalable team adoption. Help shape how the Commerce department uses tools, workflows, and product capabilities - not just within client accounts, but as a broader competitive advantage for the practice. Champion product-led innovation in the commerce practice by translating team needs, platform shifts, and client challenges into structured feedback and better use of internal and external tools. Data & Measurement Data-Driven: Oversee the use of commerce performance data, platform signals, and broader business metrics to extract actionable insights and develop strategic recommendations for clients. Ensure commerce strategies are tied to clear KPIs, rigorous measurement, and ongoing optimization against client goals and business outcomes. Guide teams in turning data into compelling narratives that explain what is happening, why it matters, and what the client should do next. Encourage thoughtful experimentation, testing, and analytical rigor so commerce decisions are informed by evidence rather than platform habit alone. Raise the overall analytical quality of the department by reinforcing high standards for measurement, interpretation, and strategic recommendation-making across teams. Channel Specific Expertise & The Tinuiti Way: Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive commerce strategies, leveraging deep expertise in commerce platforms, marketplace dynamics, and full-funnel commerce growth. Act as a thought leader in the commerce space, contributing strategic POVs internally and externally on emerging trends, best practices, and growth opportunities. Create stronger cross-functional collaboration between commerce specialists, client teams, and adjacent channel experts so account strategies are integrated, efficient, and commercially useful. Raise the quality bar for commerce strategy, communication, operating discipline, and thought leadership across the department - not just within your own accounts. Help define and socialize best practices for how commerce teams work across platforms, categories, and client types, ensuring stronger consistency and easier scaling of excellence. Act as a visible thought leader for the Commerce practice, contributing internal POVs, external thought leadership, and practical guidance on where the market is going next. Owner Mindset: Own strategic plans to drive growth, retention, profitability, and portfolio health across assigned commerce clients. Identify and diagnose opportunities for improvement across the commerce ecosystem and guide strategic changes that increase client value and agency impact. Take accountability for the health and evolution of the Commerce function by improving standards, reducing waste, increasing consistency, and ensuring the department is positioned for future growth. Drive accountability across the team by improving operating rigor, removing inefficiencies, and reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement. Proactively identify where the department needs stronger processes, better playbooks, sharper innovation loops, or clearer quality controls - and drive those improvements forward. Proactively identify cross-sell and growth opportunities across the client portfolio and actively lean into new business efforts that expand Tinuiti’s commerce footprint. Lead through ambiguity and market change with a growth mindset, strong prioritization, and a bias toward action. People Leader: Lead and develop a high-performing commerce organization, including managers, senior specialists, and rising leaders, while setting a high bar for strategic thinking, execution quality, and leadership behavior. Set clear expectations for performance, quality, and values, and hold leaders accountable for both client outcomes and people development. Provide strategic coaching and developmental feedback that strengthens team capability, leadership readiness, and commerce subject matter depth. Play a meaningful role in hiring and org design for the Commerce department, helping identify the talent, structure, and capability investments needed for future growth. Build durable bench strength by coaching leaders, strengthening succession readiness, and reinforcing clear standards for output quality and client impact. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the department - not just within your direct team. Influence broader talent strategy and help build durable leadership bench strength across the commerce practice. Professional & Technical Qualifications: Experience: 12+ years of experience in commerce, retail media, marketplace strategy, ecommerce, or related growth-focused marketing roles. Proven experience leading major client relationships and commerce strategies in fast-moving, platform-driven environments. Demonstrated success managing and developing multi-level teams, including more senior specialists or managers. Deep expertise in commerce platforms and marketplace dynamics, with the ability to connect strategy, execution, and business outcomes. Strong command of commerce-related data, KPI frameworks, and growth measurement. Strong understanding of product, technology, and AI capabilities as tools to improve efficiency, strategy, and client impact. Data & Measurement‑Driven • Define simple success measures by objective (awareness, consideration, conversion) and partner with Analytics/Econometrics to design the measurement approach (e.g., MMM, incrementality), including when and how results will be read and what trade‑offs and guardrails apply. • Synthesize multi‑source, multi‑channel data into clear stories and investment cases with expected impact and confidence ranges; present options and recommendations clients can act on. • Anticipate and resolve data and QA issues; lead critical escalations; monitor outcomes, run after‑action reviews, and update assumptions and recommendations for the next client touchpoint. The Tinuiti Way • Apply practical and strategic knowledge of at least two marketing channels; explain how channels are measured and leveraged within the holistic mix; integrate product, measurement, and channel expertise into a single, accessible client narrative. • Use inventory and economic model knowledge (by channel) to inform pacing, elasticity, and trade‑offs; educate clients to increase literacy and buy‑in. • Ensure briefs, plans, and reviews consistently reflect Tinuiti standards (integrated strategy, measurement, and product thinking). Professional & Technical Qualifications • 10+ years in client leadership within performance marketing (enterprise/upper‑mid), with repeated success driving growth and efficiency. • 4+ years people leadership (managing ICs and managers): hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning. • Executive relationship leadership and expectation setting; adept at complex alignment and change leadership. • Cross‑channel literacy (Search, Social, Display/TV & Audio, Commerce/Retail Media, Lifecycle/CRM, Creative) with strong measurement acumen (forecasting, KPI trees, MMM/incrementality literacy). • Bliss Point fluency (or similar): translate MMM / Incrementality / Forecasting / Brand / Creative insights into investment and testing decisions; partner effectively with Product/Analytics. • Financial fluency via partnership: can read/interpret margin/utilization, pricing constructs, staffing/capacity signals, and forecasts; holds Ops/Finance accountable for excellence (without executing those mechanics). • Education/certifications: BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred or equivalent KPIs • Client growth and efficiency: retention/satisfaction; efficiency and revenue growth; validated reallocations informed by Bliss Point. • Growth: cross‑sell/upsell pipeline and conversion; strategic pursuits influenced/won. • Product & measurement adoption: App Suite usage/quality tied to decisions and outcomes; adherence to measurement standards and decision rituals. • Forecast & risk: forecast quality (plan vs. actual within agreed tolerance); early risk identification and mitigations implemented. • Data/ops quality: strong QA governance; time‑to‑resolution on critical issues; prevention of recurrence (via partnerships with Ops/Product/Analytics). • People outcomes: engagement/retention of key roles; capability growth; manager bench strength; succession readiness. • Integrated impact: measurable lift from cross‑channel plans (Tinuiti Way).
