Act as a technical owner for strategic accounts, designing and delivering tailored multi-vendor infrastructure solutions to drive customer success and expansion. | Requires proven pre-sales or technical account experience with enterprise IT technologies including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud, plus strong communication skills. | The Redesign Group is a global technology solutions consulting firm helping organizations modernize, secure, and scale their IT infrastructure. We are expanding our Strategic Accounts team and seeking Account Systems Engineers (ASEs) to own and develop deep technical relationships with our most strategic customers. As an ASE you will be a trusted technical advisor, responsible for understanding customer environments, crafting tailored multi-vendor solutions, and driving long-term customer success and expansion. This high-impact, customer-facing technical role is ideal for someone who prefers to go deep with a small set of key accounts rather than managing a high-volume transactional sales pipeline. What You’ll Do Act as the technical owner for ~5–10 strategic accounts in your region, building deep trust with customer engineers and architects. Spend significant time with customers (on-site and virtual) to understand business objectives, technical environments, challenges, and long-term goals. • Assess customer needs and translate them into tailored multi-vendor infrastructure architectures across servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud, and software solutions. • Package, propose, and present compelling end-to-end solutions that clearly address customer challenges and support their transformation roadmap. • Partner closely with field sales, Solutions Architects, Solution Consultants, OEM presales engineers, and services teams to craft winning proposals and support bid cycles. • Lead discovery sessions, technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical workshops with customer stakeholders. • Develop and maintain detailed account documentation, architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and action plans to ensure continuity and shared understanding across the account team. • Proactively identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and help drive account growth, aligned with land-and-expand / 100% wallet share strategy. • Coordinate technical support, implementation details, and acceleration of sales cycles when needed. • Dedicate recurring time each week to training and certification to stay current with technologies customers rely on. • Contribute field feedback and insights to internal teams to help shape offerings, best practices, and engagement models for strategic accounts. What Success Looks Like • You become the go-to technical advisor for your strategic accounts, building strong, trusted relationships. • You design and deliver high-impact technical proposals that directly influence and grow revenue opportunities. • Your technical credibility influences customer direction and internal teams’ positioning and strategy. • You consistently identify and drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts. Typical Qualifications Essential Skills & Experience • Proven pre-sales, consulting, or technical account experience supporting enterprise IT solutions. • Strong understanding of enterprise technologies including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud. • Ability to interpret business and technical needs and translate them into clear, compelling architectures. • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences. • Comfortable working collaboratively in a matrixed environment with sales, engineering, and services partners. Desirable • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience. • Industry certifications relevant to infrastructure technologies (e.g., networking, cloud, storage). Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package which may include: • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • 401(k) retirement plan with company match (annual dollar cap applied) • Flexible time off plan • 15 paid holidays • Sick leave (amount varies by state requirements and is at least the minimum required by any state) • Short-term and long-term disability • Life insurance • Paid parental leave Compensation Compensation for this role is structured as total on-target earnings (OTE) and includes base salary plus any applicable bonus and/or commission earning potential. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, market alignment, and overall fit for the position. We’re an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. We consider qualified candidates without regard to any legally protected status. This role is subject to applicable employment laws based on work location. In compliance with pay transparency laws, the compensation range for this role is included, with final pay based on experience, skills, and location. We participate in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility and are happy to provide reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process—just let us know how we can help.
