Quality Logistics Support Team This team is located in Bell’s Plant 3 CDC Warehouse in Grand Prairie, TX and is responsible for the Quality Assurance (QA) activities and initiatives. Oversees the coordination of Quality program responsibilities with internal and external customers, customer responses, investigation and resolution of program related problems that affect customers' aircraft/components or kits. The position reports to the Senior Manager Civil Certification and interfaces directly with the Fort Worth Logistics Center management staff. Quality Operations Specialist: The primary responsibilities of this role include the following: · Quality Program Planning and Management · Develop, calculate and report out on a variety of Quality metrics · Independently conduct process audits · Supporting Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement Process efforts · Utilizing Quality Management Systems, Records, & Data · Collaborate with and support military and commercial customers · Develop quality inspection plans for all new commercial programs to ensure compliance with quality management system. · Review and approve supplier First Article Inspection (FAI) · Manage customer-related root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to ensure timely and effective resolutions. Parts Management: • Pre-order parts prior to aircraft arrival. • Ensure parts are ordered and, if unavailable, added to the AOG/EOD boards. • Monitor parts availability and estimated ship dates (ESD). • Address escalations impacting customer schedules and coordinate with TAPD for solutions. • Research and/or order parts in support of technicians during maintenance, when requested. • Assist with third-party vendors and sourcing solutions, including anything sourced through TAPD. • Ensure parts and cores are returned prior to customer invoicing. • Coordinate the parts set-up process and work with TAPD to compile technical information, ensuring timely part receipt. • Respond to TAPD with additional information as needed and escalate the set-up process as necessary to meet customer schedules. Revision Management: • Create and manage Purchase Orders. • Create and receive vendor, service, and repair POs (parts, bottles, med air kits, life rafts, cleanings, etc.) Engineering Support: • Create Structural Damage Reports (SDR). • Ensure timely and accurate information flow between engineering and the floor, providing additional information needed to expedite SDR. • Process supplemental aircraft orders (SAOs) with experimental for special parts orders or tooling needed to complete the SDR. • Coordinate with Tooling for special tooling needed to accomplish projects. Tooling & Hangar Management: • Locate tools within the facility and place them at the aircraft to assist technicians performing the work. • Perform and coordinate hangar organization and orderliness, ensuring tools are in the right location. • Assist with 5S projects for the shop floor. • Coordinate with tool attendants for shop needs and report tooling issues.
