Learn more at tandemdiabetes.com A DAY IN THE LIFE: Working closely with the Human Resources team, the Sr. HR Technology Analyst I supports the configuration, maintenance, integrations, and optimization of Workday across multiple functional areas. This role partners with HR functional leads, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure Workday processes and data are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business needs. The Sr. HR Technology Analyst I also serves as a key point of contact for troubleshooting, responding to support tickets, and mentoring team members on Workday functionality, ensuring a strong, collaborative, and service-focused HR Technology environment. The Sr. HR Technology Analyst I at Tandem is also responsible for: Serves as a Workday functional analyst and subject matter expert, supporting HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Benefits, Learning, Compensation, and related modules. Collaborates with HR functional teams to analyze requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and translate needs into system solutions. Leads projects with client-group focus to build a foundation of capabilities that educate and empower client group members with advanced analytic methods and insights. Project manages new initiatives with Workday, any company rollout of new functions/features, and global rollout of the system. Ensures data security/management, end-user access and business processes, compliant with SOX requirements. Acts as a business advocate and liaison for various projects involving system delivered employee data. Configures, tests, and maintains Workday business processes, notifications, and condition rules in alignment with approved design and governance protocols. Serve as a liaison between HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other business partners to elicit, document, validate, and prioritize business requirements related to Workday. Monitors and responds to support tickets and system inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring issues are documented, prioritized, and resolved efficiently. Consults with end users on mid-level to complex reporting solutions within Workday for various end users across the Company, serving as a subject matter expert in complex reporting and analytics/dashboards. Supports and troubleshoots integrations between Workday and external systems, including HR, and benefits vendors; creates and maintains EIBs, calculated fields, and integration templates. Proactively identifies and drives continuous improvement through both technical innovations and process improvements to automate complex tasks, minimize manual work, and enable further employee and manager self-service. Provides guidance and mentoring to HR team members and Workday users, helping to increase functional knowledge and confidence in system use. Coordinates with HR system vendors for maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and issues; monitors and responds to all support ticket activity. Supports system releases and regression testing, documenting impacts and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT). Analyze as-is HR processes, recommend reengineering or standardization, and map to Workday capabilities. Drive continuous improvement of business processes Participates in Workday user groups, continuing education, and community forums to stay informed on new functionality and best practices. Assist with internal audit readiness, document change control, support SOX controls, maintain audit trails and logs, ensure system changes follow internal control standards. Ensures all activities comply with internal controls, SOX standards, data privacy, and company policies including HIPAA, GDPR and other regulatory, legal and safety requirements. WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK: This position is fully remote and open to candidates within the United States. Equipment for the role will be provided and training will occur virtually. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience. 5 years’ HRIS/HR system support experience with 3 years’ direct Workday experience required. Experience supporting Workday integrations and EIBs required. Knowledge of data integration methods including EIBs, APIs, Workday Studio, and data transformation tools Experience working in an agile delivery environment. Strong computer skills with emphasis on reporting, experience with MS Office and Internet, with a high proficiency in Excel. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience in Workday configuration, integrations and reporting. Proficiency in Workday Report Writer and/or People Analytics, calculated fields, and dashboards. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and respond to support requests promptly and professionally. Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, fostering strong partnerships and teamwork across functions. Strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking skills. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and explain system functionality to non-technical audiences. EXTRA AWESOME: Experience with Agile project methodologies and ticket management systems (e.g., Zendesk, Workday Help) preferred. Workday Certified preferred. Experience with SOX compliance processes, audit controls, and IPE documentation strongly preferred. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting base pay range for this position is $90K - $110K annually. Your goal will to be ensure the territory meets and exceeds company sales goals as established by management.
