This role works independently to identify software improvements and contribute to the overall testing and validation of software products. Software Engineer II's (Embedded Firmware) at Tandem are also responsible for: Independently designs, develops, modifies, and tests software units per corporate software process documents. Independently develops and integrates software components for various functionalities, including user interfaces, communication protocols, and device control. Identifies opportunities in software process and initiates efforts to close process gaps; communicates proposals to the management team. This role leads commercial expansion efforts across Medicare (Part B and Part C), international markets (EU5, Canada, APAC, Middle East), and new care settings including Long-Term Care (LTC) and institutional environments. The Director shapes the payer value narrative, drives innovative access models such as ‘Pay as you go’ for Medicare Advantage plans, and creates novel commercial frameworks that enable the T2 ecosystem to scale across geographies and channels. The Dir, T2 will also be responsible for: Stands up and scales US growth pathways across priority segments and call points. Reduces adoption friction (coverage workflow, documentation, affordability mechanics, patient journey handoffs) and improve conversion. Partners with the Head of Govt Affairs to support and accelerate external efforts to eliminate the C-peptide requirement for Medicare Part B for pump therapy access. Increases in US serviceable market (reachable HCP universe, channel capacity, covered/ practically-accessible lives). Funnel performance: lead → trial → start → active; improved conversion at the biggest leakage points through the intake funnel, including patient training and onboarding to reduce time-to-start and administrative friction. Builds and implements a Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage) Pay as you go pharmacy benefit model for tubeless and MDI-replacement therapies. Develops and executes international commercial expansion plans across priority markets (EU5, Canada, APAC), with tubeless-first market entry strategies. The territory sales team will work together to plan and achieve sales goals through clinical acceptance of Tandem products. Identifies potential customers, establishes and develops business relationships which facilitate the sale of Tandem Diabetes' products and clinical services. Uses clinical expertise to provide clinical and sales support, and product education directly to trainers, physicians, and their staff. Provides Tandem product training and support to patients. Effectively leverages customer training and clinical expertise in the marketplace in order to generate positive clinical outcomes and sales. Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialists are also responsible for: CDSS maintains solid line reporting structure to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for all sales and business process responsibilities and goals.
